Hi Everyone. As you probably noticed, a third smash brothers is coming out. So what better way to kick off the realease then to have a tourney? And the host shall be me! Since the game IS wifi, it is possible to verse each other via nintendo wi-fi connection. The Tourney will be March 22nd 2008 at 12pm PST/3pm EST If your time zone isnt listed above, click Here to see what time it is for you.
This Tourney will be a Double Knockout tourney. If anybody would like to make the tourney tree, without names yet, i would be very grateful. ========= Official Rules ========= 4 Stock Final Smashes are approved Strategic/Technical Moves allowed. i.e wall jump, ink dropping, l canceling etc. 15 Minute Items are on 4 Characters Only throughout the entire tourney. some people count them as 2 though..
and sheik and ganondorf are released not yet though. they have all the new looks for them in brawl but didnt get into the updates yet.. ugh the update today is such a waste! anyway. i will count you in |

Eh, I think 5 days is fine so you can carry out your skills from melee to brawl and use the 5 days to get used to the physics and stuff. Funny thing that wifi was confirmed right after your topic.

eh I like the tourny idea Garde but the smart thng to do with sighnups would be to hold them the day before or two days before the event.as for 75% wont show that said they would.But if it rows your boat oh well

I personally think that you should consider holding off the tournament until the weekend that is a week after the game's release. Not everyone can play SSBB or even get it the day it is released, so this will allow time for people to train, unlock characters (you know that'll be inevitable) and put people on a more equal footing than holding it 5 days after the release.

we all have melee and we all know how to play. if it appens t o be this way then i will change it later on. and i think theis extra time is when people should be praticing in melee.

Well yeah, I play Melee also (though I'm not as good as I once was), but even then, we still don't know the final character roster or what moves/controls could possibly change.

the roster doesnt matter too much. and i MIGHT change the date by a week. maybe it should be on a friday night
