So, I bet you all have read, by now, more than a hundred wincest fics. LOL I know I did. So, I decided I should create this thread and now we can order them and pick our favorites! It's probably really hard to choose only three, but, hey, if you want to, you don't have to rank them :D

(all of Mere's fics are great, but this one is my favorite by far because it's so full of love)

JD Sampson's 'Conversations Over The Front Seat'
(incredibly angsty and hot at the same time, plus: totally IC)

La Folle Allure's 'More Dear Than...'
(I don't usually like her fics, but this one's very different from the rest, deep and almost poetic)

la_folle_allure is an AMAZING author. And incredibly cracky. I love her XD. And that story really killed me, ngggh.

CONVERSATIONS OVER THE FRONT SEAT. Ahhh. I read it about a million times and got it on a podcast where JD Sampson read and dear god if that wasn't the hottest thing I've ever heard. She has the most gorgeous voice.

So, I only have a few recs because I am dumb and don't mem my stories. But here we go:

Brothers On A Hotel Bed by MF Luder
- it skips through Sam and Dean's life, the ups and downs, using the infamous Sam/Dean anthem as a base. It's gorgeous and tragic and I was left speechless afterwards.

- I can't even choose one story by her. She mixes in mythology and darkness so well with the Wincest, I sometimes wonder why she isn't writing for the show. And her stories could so be canon. (she is also the author of the massive Mircales And Saints verse with Dean/Michael (Something Wicked), Dean/Sam and Dean/Michael/Sam.

The Promise by Gillian Middleton
God I love this fic. I LOVE it! It's one of the few I can read several times and never get sick of. Basically Sam and Dean get kidnapped and they wake up to find themselves trapped in a bricked up room. They have know idea where they are and it seems impossible to get out. Will their dad find them in time? It's a very sad, angsty fic but it is beautiful how they turn to one another for support. And although I like teen Wincest, it just did not work for me with this fic. Sam is supposed to be 14 but I had no problem imagining that he and Dean were older. With the circumstances it would have worked with them being 22 and 26 as well.

This is a pretty HOT fic featuring Sam and Dean AND steamy sex in the library. Did I mention that Sam is wearing glasses and a geekyhot checked sweater vest....so SEXY!

Here's a Wincest first-time fic. I really liked the style and format of the fic. the writing is excellent. It was a neat concept to "fill-in" the time periods between episodes that made up the first season of SPN.

I can't believe I'm going to say this.....but I actually read an "amnesia!fic". *hangs head in shame* Really though, it's not an insult to anyone's writing capability, I just think that "amnesia" is like THE cheesiest, lamest concept for a fic. It's just a personal opinion. Not to mention that I dislike them because when my two boys get together I want them BOTH to be FULLY AWARE of it.

I just don't like reading that, the only reason Sam becomes "intimate" with Dean is because Dean doesn't remember that they are brothers, then angst ensues because "it is so wrong to take advantage of Dean's trust in him!" or "I really have to tell him the truth!". UGH! Make me puke! I can't stand storylines like that. Suffice to say that I always avoid amnesia!fics. Again, I think it is kind of the cowardly way to introduce them to a sexual relationship. It allows the author to avoid all the trouble of realistically developing the characters and circumstances to the point where they want to be closer. I like it when they willingly (well after lots of angsty issues...willingly) want to enter an incestuous relationship.

Well anyway, I really liked this fic. Maybe it's because they both get amnesia? I think it is very well written. My only complaint (it's minor really) is one that the author agrees with at the end of the fic. I wanted Sam to figure out that he is "called Sam" before he recovered from amnesia. The author also wanted to find a way for Sam to be able to figure out his name, but she could not find a logical way to put that in the fic. I think she could have easily had the boys discover his name in Dean's phone. Don't know why she didn't think of it. Anyway give it a try, this author is good.

Ok on to the next fic I read. It was a body swapping fic. Which, when I found it was to be a bodyswap!fic, I thought "Can she read my mind?" Because on the previous fic (the amnesia!fic), when I read the summary it said "Our boys are in the middle of a conversation and suddenly forget who they are. Chaos ensues." Well my first thought (for whatever reason) was that it they were going to end up in each others bodies. I had never heard of anything like that before, but I was sure that the fic would be about that. BUT then the rest of the summary told me it was an amnesia!fic and I was dissappointed. BUT lo' and behold the very next fic that I read by her was Sam and Dean switching bodies!! I was so excited.

BTW let me just say that this would be AN AWESOME concept for an episode of SPN. They totally have to do it!! It would be awesome to see Sam and Dean trying to live in each other's bodies. They could take many aspects of this fic and use it in the show (obviously without the porn ;) ) I really do think it would make a hilarious episode....I mean how funny would it be to watch Jared try to act like Dean because Dean is sopposed to be in his body. Or to watch Jensen act all prissy like Sammy because Sammy is in HIS body. LMAO!! Aaahhhh....it would be so great I think they would do a brilliant job.

Anyway, here's another fic worth reading!! This author, lyra_wing, is fabulous!

p.s. I do have one other complaint. All her stories have bottom!Dean which to me is all sorts of wrong! It just doesn't feel right to me when I read Wincest fics. Sam.is.bottom.end.of.story.

Ok... so I'm totally in love with this author. I just read a long, wonderfully plotty fic that had a nice sizzling build up of Sam/Dean. The premise is so perfect because it reminds me of romance novels I used to read (before I became obsessed with this fandom!) A forced marriage to unwilling partners?? I L-O-V-E it! The story starts with Sam and Dean investigating a village where people keep disappearing and the people never die. They need to join the village in order to solve the mystery, and well the villagers will only allow them to stay if they get married (because they think the boys are "together"). So Sam and Dean have to grin and bear it. Oh and the way that Sam and Dean have to "pretend" that they are having sex is hilarious!

Wow....I've just completely explored the whole "bodyswap" genre.

Here's my favorite, called Keep Our Minds on the Sum of Each Other by lazy_daze. I enjoyed this the best, out of this whole list of bodyswap!fics. (There's genderswap!fics there too so have at 'er if you like that sort of thing. I personally HATE genderswap)

I love these Wincest fics. The guys are forced (through circumstances) to have sex/be initmate and then they like it!

GRRRR!! I'm frustrated because I cannot find two fics that I'm looking for to add to this list. I will describe them and if they sound familiar, could someone please post a link??

First fic-
-Sam and Dean go to a night club for a hunt.
-There is a group of men that they need to "convince" that they are together.
-The boys do not like each other "like that"
-I think these guys are like hardcore gothy or biker guys.
-I remember Sammy saying something like "Yeah, he thought maybe Dean might to put an arm around his shoulders or a hand in his back pocket. But he didn't think they would have to go that far to convince them."
-The group that Sam and Dean are trying to convince make them kiss and grope, but I don't believe they have sex, because they are out "in the open" in the club.
-The kissing is shocking to the boys at first but then they get into and it leads to groping.

Second fic-*sigh* I cannot find this fic anywhere!!!
-Sam and Dean are investigating a hunt.
-People have been going to an area (piece of land) and have been dissappearing, never to be heard from again.
-It's something about a house that is invisible to the eye. Or maybe when people go inside of it, it becomes invisible. Or it's mostly invisible unless you catch it in a trick with the light. Something like that.
-Anyway Dean and Sam find it, and know that it is the reason people are vanishing.
-Once inside, they realise that something about the house (an incantation, spell or curse) has to do with killing virgins. (I can't rmember if it had something to with the fact that "previously" that land or in that house people sacrificed virgins to a god or something)
-The house does not allow virgins to leave. It traps them there.
-I'm pretty sure that Sammy is "the virgin" in this fic. (like 99% sure) BUT it might have been Dean.
-They have sex in order to leave the house and destroy it.

Wow! Thank you so much Teri! I thought I would never find that fic again! I could have sworn that I had first read it on fanfiction.net but I could not seem to find it there again when I went looking for it. I wonder if the author posts stuff there too, because I know at the time I was reading fanfiction (before I came to Beyond Salvation) I read it from only two places, the Sam/Dean slash archives and fanfiction.net. So I knew that I had to have read it from either place. (Now I read A LOT of livejournal fics and stuff from sinful desire archives too)

I'm just glad you found it for me!! I just found out these stories are commonly called "f*ck or die fics". Even though this is not my favorite one (but I do really like it) I still wanted to have a link to it so I could always come back and read it if I wanted too.

BTW when I first posted the descriptions of those two "mystery" fics I was so afraid I was going to be way off. I was worried that I had remembered them all wrong (or at least innacurately). But once I reread the fic (thanks to your link) I realized that I have a good memory!! LOL
