Well, I get that all wounds take time to heal but I'm tired of the way the brothers have been lately too. To me it makes the storyline lack and doesn't make me as excited to watch the episodes. The whole point of this show is about the brothers and I'm just not feeling that anymore, more just the brothers have to fight each other eventually.
Is it just me, or do Jared and Jensen seem more tired too? Like the way they portray the characters too like they're tired of fighting? I get that but at the same time to me that seems to be affecting the storyline and I hope I'm not the only one seeing it but it just seems like they're really tired and I'm not sure if they're doing that on purpose or not. What bothers me too is that there is barely any times I've shouted Wincest at the TV this season because of things the boys have done, and hell, there isn't even stuff between Dean and Cas that you can shout at the TV for because all the homoerotic tensions and things like that are gone. It's like, where is the passion, or the hidden desires between any of the characters? The acting of Jared and Jensen is great most of the time but lately I haven't felt the emotions behind it at times. That's why I think they're just tired or something. -------------------- |

It reminds of something Kripke has always said. "This show is about family." He's always said that. Why am I not feeling that vibe lately? (Which I think is part of what is contributing to the lack of Wincest type subtext?) And in comparing this episode to the other Trickster ones, there just didn't seem to be a gay subtext to this one. In Tall Tales we had the boys fighting and Dean viewing Sam as so obviously gay and then that perfect moment at the end where Sam tries to apologize and Dean's all "yeah" and Bobby "you're breaking my heart!" It was a fantastic episode for Wincest (not to mention them rolling around on the bed!). Then we had Mystery Spot, where the subtext was practically text, what with Sam desperate to save Dean from dying, falling apart when he couldn't (and many people, including myself, have mentioned how much like Papa Winchester Sam became after losing Dean. Just like John after losing the love of HIS life!), teh Hug!, etc. Slashy McSlashy goodness in that one! In this one? Seriously, I'm wracking my brain and I am having trouble coming up with anything other than Dean rooting around in Sam's, um, rear end (heh) and Sam's moment of panic when Dean was shot. *sighs* How far we've come.... |

Actually, Dean's called Sam Sammy several times this season. I'm surprised you haven't noticed. |

Hmm, Guess I need to listen closer. I know he definitely called him Sammy in the latest ep. |
