Brief Explanation: Alec and Clary's relationship has had its ups and downs. She annoyed him in the start, as Alec saw Clary as putting Jace in more danger. He was also jealous of the attention she received from Jace who he had feelings for. Eventually however, he began seeing her as a friend.

Brief Explanation: Simon and Clary have been best friends since they were little kids, and he's been in love with her for almost as long. Probably the best time in his life was the 4.23 seconds when she was actually his girlfriend. But by that point, he already knew that she was in love with Jace, even though they thought they were siblings at the time. He did what he thought he would never be capable of; he broke up with her. It felt great being with her, but it was wrong when she didn't want it. The summer was one that changed his life forever. They all survived it, but not without him turning into a vampire and convincing Clary to draw the Mark of Caine on him. He's probably doomed forever, but he knows that Clary is the best friend he'll ever have, and he has eternity to get over her somehow.
