1: Name the 3 things that the Red Sox, or Sox players, did for the first time ever in 2007

2: Name all 4 Sox players that only got one hit in 2007. (here's a gimme: I'm counting the postseason)

3: 5 Sox pitchers pitched complete games for the Sox in 2007. Their names are?

4: Only 1 pitcher pitched a complete game against the Sox. Who was he?

5: 3 Sox non-rookies beat their career OPS this year. They are?

6: True or false: Eric Gagne has a losing record with the Sox.

7: Name me the 2 Red Sox hitters with at least 1 stolen base and no times caught stealing.

8: Who or what was Parlay?

9: Who led the team in double plays grounded into this year, and who was second?

And finally:

10: What do Julio Lugo, Coco Crisp, J. D. Drew and Mike Lowell have in common other than the fact that they played for the Sox this year?

1. Danced in a thong, first team of the twenty first century to win two WS, had a relief pitcher make his 1,000th appearance.

3. Josh, Curt, Timmay, DiceK and Julian.

4. If there was only one, it was King Felix.

8. Parlay the Parrot Paraded with Papelbon. cool.gif

(That's without looking.)

With those who don't give a damn about baseball, I can only sympathize. I do not resent them. I am even willing to concede that many of them are physically clean, good to their mothers and in favor of world peace. But while the game is on, I can't think of anything to say to them. ~Art Hill

You got 3 of them.

Buchholtz and Gabbard are the other two, right? (didn't look it up)

As for 1. They were the first team to hit 4 back to back HRs off the same pitcher. (or maybe just 4 back to back HRs) They were the first team to score three in a row on BBs in the WS. Can't think of a third.

7. I know Papi is one. I bet Lowell is the other.

Too lazy to look anything else up

2. K-Monstah is one of them.

5. Lowell, Youk, ...

7. I think Tek is one.

That would be yes. Neither Julian nor Wakefield completed a game this year.

You got the most obvious one, for the other two, don't go so deep -- they're both pretty plain to be seen.

Surprisingly, neither is the correct answer to question 7 (stolen bases without caught stealing)

Questions answered correctly so far:

3:
The complete games were by Beckett (complete game loss) Daisuke (complete game win), Gabbard (shutout), Schilling (1-hitter), Buchholz (no-hitter)

4:
The complete game against us was King Felix's 3-hit shutout

3 other questions partially answered.

I think Off's answer to #8 is spot on. No?
