With last night's weather-assisted (plus a little help from the umpire rolleyes.gif )win over the Verlander-led Tigers, the Red Sox have now won four straight and taken five out of seven from the division leading Yankees and Tigers. That's no small accomplishment, though one we'd be celebrating a bit more had the team not imploded against Toronto and Texas. But whatevs. Moving on.

With the trading circus behind us, there's another game at Fenway today. Rick Porcello (116-1/3 IP, 2.3 K/BB, 91 ERA+) of the Detroit Tigers faces off against Aaron Cook (40 IP, 1.0 K/BB, 97 ERA+). This one will be a contest of who can get the most outs via the ground ball, so I'm hoping Ciriaco will be in the lineup once again at SS.

Go Aaron! Go Pedro! Go Sox!

Nah. It's his glove I want on the field, not his bat I want in the lineup. supacool.gif

A season is generally considered statistically significant. His BABIP has to come down to something sustainable before I'll believe it.
