Hanley Ramirez and Randy Choate to the Dodgers for Nathan Eovaldi (a 3-star prospect and potential back of the rotation starter) and a PTBNL.

mr marlin jeff conine has been pleading for 2 years now to get rid of hanram, hes not loved by mgt, ozzie fed up and fans over him.this is unusual but ozzie is the star down here.based on this deal if the sox are sticking with the club as is,i dont think id be putting excesss of up for trade, you arent going to see anything back, perhaps when reality sets in they in fact let crawford go home for tj surgery.

I'm relieved that Hanley is no longer an option.

In part because I kinda like our current non-all-star short stop.

Phillies GM Ruben Amaro was burnt the first time he sold, giving Cliff Lee away to the Mariners for three modest prospects, none of whom have made any sort of contribution so far, after the 2009 season. Take two isn’t looking like a big success either, as he doesn’t appear to have gotten any potential stars in return for two-thirds of his outfield in Hunter Pence and Shane Victorino today.

I would not be holding the Phillies up as any kind of example of how rebuilding should be done, given their demonstrated ability to suck at it—twice.

A year ago they sent a package of first baseman Jonathan Singleton, right-hander Jarred Cosart, outfielder Domingo Santana and right-hander Josh Zied to Houston for Hunter Pence.

Today they sent Pence to the Giants for catcher Tommy Joseph, outfielder Nate Schierholtz and right-hander Seth Rosin.

Epic fail.
