OH MY GOD I AM SO SPOILED!! I have been sitting here using my husbands old computer and trying not to have an inner temper tantrum about it taking so long to get to MLB, to C&P and get on UoTM. This morning I was back in 2002 before I had a computer at all, never mind live gameday audio. Reading the Charlotte NC newsspaper looking for a few lines about the Red Sox. I don't know when I will get a new computer, (did I mention my effen car tried to kill me and is in the shop and that it is going to be at least 104 degrees again today?) Until I do a have a computer to hear the games and post on, I will remember to be so grateful for the connection it has given me and for UoTM. So GO RED SOX AND JOSH BECKETT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS Monsters: check out my post on "That's Cool" thread before it disappears into the bow.....basement of The Elliot!! (I bet it's cool down there!) Luv you guys!
Saturday, June 30, 10:10 PM EDT, Safeco FieldJosh Beckett, RHP Stats
4-7, 4.14 ERA Last 3 starts
Career stats Beckett is scheduled to come off the disabled list and make his first start since June 11. The right-hander had gone at least seven innings in each of his past six starts before going on the DL with right shoulder inflammation.
Erasmo Ramirez, RHP Stats

Career stats Using a mix of off-speed pitches to work off a lively fastball, Ramirez gave up just three hits in eight innings to the A's on June 25, striking out a career-high 10.

I almost wish Erasmo was on our team just so we could sat Erasmo all the time!

Well, I was unable to stay awake for the game. Bummer of an outcome. Hey guys, this is where we're supposed to be making our move....

That said, this one is on Pete Abe. Warren Zevon? For a song of the day?

Now I love that man's music but my kids know that if I've got that playing loud I am NOT having a good day. A Warren Zevon day means something around here.

Anyway, he's learned his lesson. Now, back to our winning ways!

I hope one loss will not slow us down, (thanks Pete) but it must be followed by a bunch of wins. Maybe it will help that the game does not begin at a million o'clock, but at 4:10 est

I did find that I could follow the game on ESPN scoredboard until I get mu computer situation worked out.

Unless lightening knocks out our electricity!!!
Lest it seems like I am becoming just totally negative: I am glad we had the storms because it local weather forecasts have reduced our projected high temperatures to 104 degrees instead of 105 biggrin.gif

Sorry, it was my fault. I fell asleep and then woke up in the top of the 11th. I knew what would would happen if I stayed awake to the end again, but couldn't close my eyes.

Offense, where art thou?

Apparently the offense got left behind on the east coast.
