Those renewed cries will only be magnified by the fact that the game is nationally televised on ESPN. Bard's counterpart for the opposition? The fat man. This is an opportunity. The fat man is not off to the greatest start. His ERA coming into this one is nearly a full run higher than Bard's. The difference, of course, is that the fat man is 1-0, while Bard is 0-2.
