the probable cause of tek's arm issue

I can't understand why we would want to diminish someone who is historical to Red Sox history... the no hitters, the honor that was given to him with the "C", two world series championships.

I am thankful that this didn't happen to Yaz, Rice or Pesky. And still hold bitterness regarding Lynn and Fisk..

A pitcher throwing to Tek knows that if he gets a pop up behind the plate that can be caught, it will be caught, and if he throws a split in the dirt it will be blocked.

Being the backup will reduce the wear and tear and who knows what we'll see from Tek's bat. A switching hitting power threat off the bench? I'm looking forward to this new phase of his career.
