List all of those Dan Shaughnessy gems here. I can't imagine not having a ton of commentary on every column he writes.

Schilling laid into him pretty well on 38 pitches this week. What a moron. He has no heart for Gods sake. Guess he got that hair instead.

That's actually not half bad for him. He seems to understand what most people (especially Yankee fans) don't in that a catcher brings so much more to a game then just offensive numbers. Look at the job he's done helping to develop the young pitchers.

Shaughnessy is a tool... a clown tool

His apparent jealousy towards athletes belittles any column that he could ever write. Why the Sox even let the moron in Fenway is beyond me

Yeah, regarding the Tek piece, I've seen worse....Like Ghost said, it's not half bad....this one only gave me the sense of "Is he trying to be sarcastic?" about 20% of the time I spent reading it, as opposed to his usual 95%. biggrin.gif

Frankly, I do think that his writing shows a resentment towards athletes. It's almost as if I can catch the sentiment "People love athletes, people hate me, therefore I hate athletes" in many of his paragraphs.

I also think he's still bitter that we won in 2004.

I don't even try to figure the asshat out anymore. I am so sick and tired of his drivel pieces, his whiney pieces, his shallow emotion human interst pieces, his no talent hack take on sports pieces, just plain old sick and tired of that sorry excuse, waste of skin, excuse for a sports journalist.

With those who don't give a damn about baseball, I can only sympathize. I do not resent them. I am even willing to concede that many of them are physically clean, good to their mothers and in favor of world peace. But while the game is on, I can't think of anything to say to them. ~Art Hill

That sums it up.

I used to appreciate some of his work, but I have been enraged by him far, far too many times and I look forward to his retirement.

WHY BOTHER?

Wow... a perfectly punctuated and appropriately capitalized post by tracey...

I weep with joy.
