Friday, June 22, 7:10 PM EDT, Fenway Park
Jair Jurrjens, RHP

Career stats
Jurrjens returns from the Minors as a replacement for the injured Brandon Beachy after making nine starts for Triple-A Gwinnett. Jurrjens pitched for the NL in the All-Star Game last year and is trying to get back on track after a knee injury.

Jon Lester, LHP

Career stats
Lester snapped a four-start winless streak on Saturday at Wrigley Field, striking out eight Cubs in 6 2/3 innings and giving up all three of his runs on a seventh-inning homer. In three June starts, the lefty sports a 3.66 ERA and 22 strikeouts.

This could be it, Monsters! After sweeping the Marlins at Fenway, the Red Sox need to make this winning a regular habit. Hope springs eternal in Red Sox fans and the last 5 games have given us reason to hope. The young players are stepping up . David Ortiz, our Big Papi came ready to play this season and has not looked back. Including an awe inspiring Grand Slam! The key to winning is a united bench, let's hope that is coming together!

GO RED SOX!!!!!

Jair Jurrjens replaces Brandon Beachy. There's a couple of major league names right there.

Keep on rolling, Macs. Keep on winning, Red Sox! cheers.gif

Not sure I believe that. This front is very slow moving. Supposed to be 2 days until the storms are all done.

Game on.

Lester starts by striking out Bourn, which was a wise thing to do because he would have scored on McCann's single.

If you're referring to the bottom of the 2nd inning, I agree completely.
