Title: 7/2 @ Oakland: Matsuzaka vs Parker
Description: Do you know the way to San Jose?
ThinMan - July 2, 2012 11:39 AM (GMT)
On to the bay area, where the Red Sox had better find their lost offensive luggage if they hope to have a chance against Oakland ace Jarrod Parker (4-3, 2.75). In his last outing against the Sox, Parker gave up one run and four hits in 6-2/3 innings at Fenway on May 1, for a 5-3 Oakland win. David Ortiz, who was 4 for 7 with two homers and two doubles in the other two games of that series, went hitless in three at-bats against Parker.
For the Sox, Daisuke Matsuzaka takes the mound. Again, the Sox lineup need to bring their bats.

I hope they get out in front early because I will be asleep by the second inning!

I have tickets for Thursday's Sea Dogs @ Fisher Cats game - looks like it may be a rehab game with both CC and Road Runner in the vistor's dugout. Which means parking may be harder to find than usual on a week night. Oh well.

Hi HH, actually I think I will try to whisper, because if you are asleep, it might be your good luck. It's the 2nd inning. DiceK came into it with the score 1-1. Walk Walk Home Run 4-1
Single and DiceK gets the hook. Good on Bobby V for that.

I'm going to listen as long as I can but I have to shut this computer down.
I can't wait for the Sox to come home. I wonder who they're playing this weekend.
:the axe: oh shaddup macs

I'm turning in at 12:30, but not giving up. It's 1-6 in the 7th.
That means the Sox have 2 more at bats.
It's baseball, so you never know how it ends until the last out.
And it's the Red Sox.
So double that
I throw my hands up in the air sometimes saying aayyo
Boston Red Sox Yo!

they win the next 2 and we still are treadingwater,if they lose another and lose 3 in fenway, larry will be told to shed some payroll.anyone having doubts on kalish.this team is still in play but a bad left coast trip tells you this team really doesnt have playoff chops.
ThinMan - July 3, 2012 02:54 PM (GMT)
I'm pretty sure Dice-K melting down on the mound says absolutely nothing about whether or not this team has playoff chops.

at some point losses matter,a lot and losses to the weakker teams does say something and while no loss or win say a lot the numbers say something, should the sox be 10 out and 5 or 6 out of the playoffs it becomes numbers also take a look at the sept schedule lots of away,in fact the last 15 games look like last years schedule.as for dice all this did is make him less tradeable.
