Agreed. Finally. To Agent Wake!
Found it on the web! Suddenly got a little dusty in here. I am so happy for Wake and feel so fortunate to have him call Boston "home".
P.S. I am not a Bud Selig fan. Not at all.

You're all alone on that one.
Most people love him.
Nice job Mr. Wakefield. A first time all star in '09. A first time Clemente winner in '10. What's in store for 2011?

I think what you meant to say was 193 AND a nice ring in 2011.

I'm just curious - what memories do posters have of Roberto Clemente, either personal or from stories?
I was in Colorado when his plane went down, and the irony was that as starved as I was for baseball news, Clemente's disappearance was in the papers for weeks, even in football season. It was a story that kept me hoping for a miracle long past the time there was any rational expectation he'd be found. I never saw him play, but more than any other player I didn't get a chance to see, I wish I'd seen Roberto Clemente.
