Title: 3/11 @ Mets
Description: Wakefield vs. Figueroa

mental4sox - March 11, 2008 02:12 PM (GMT)
Wakefield gets the start against the Mets, with Papelbon, Timlin, and Delcarmen to follow. Pedro was supposed to toe the ruber today, but instead will just be in a simulated game.

Game time is at 1:05 pm, available on MLB.tv

box score from today's game vs the mini-mets: http://mlb.mlb.com/news/boxscore.jsp?gid=2...nynmlb_bosmlb_1

Youk 1-3
Drew 1-2 and a BB
Manny 2-3, 1 RBI
Lowell 1-2, BB, 1 RBI
Casey 1-3, 2 RBI
Belli 1-3
Moss 1-3

Lowrie looks like he's really been struggling at the plate. Probably for the best for him to get smacked around and to realize he needs to work on a lot of stuff still.

pitching:
Wake 4IP 5hits, 2 runs, 3BB. Kept the runs down, but gave up far too many walks and hits for 4 innings. But... that's Wake being Wake.

Paps 2IP one batter allowed per an E, that he picked off. 2 K's

Delcarmen continues to dominate 2IP nothing.... 1K. This is Manny's breakout year! There'll be 20 teams willing to deal a top prospect to get him as their closer by mid season. Theo will hold onto him. Smartly.

Dan Kolb is still struggling. 1 IP. 2 hits and a BB. 1 K.
