summer was lying tummy down on the cool metal counters of
hogwart's kitchen. her right hand was holding a silver spoon,
which she was currently swirling around in a small bowl of
jamoca almond fudge ice cream, her favorite even if it
was a muggle thing. summer's legs were kicking slightly up
in the air, and her feet were covered by fuzzy white
slippers. she was currently wearing light purple victoria's
secret pink sweats and a white billabong shirt with the
logo in pastel shades of pink, yellow, blue, and purple. her
caramel colored hair was up in a messy bun. it was only
early morning, and she didn't care about her appearance. why
would you? i mean, some girls would, but summer found
them a little annoying, always caring about the way they looked.
it was a bunch of time wasted. it was okay every now and
then, if there was something important though.
tonight for some reason she couldn't sleep. normally, she was
fine, going to bed around ten or eleven o’ clock. maybe
her problem was that she skipped dinner. accidentally, of
course. according to summer, anorexia or bulimia was for the
desperate. for one, it was disgusting, no doubt about it.
today she had just been plain old busy with homework.
she had also fallen asleep in the library while reading,
therefore explaining her missing dinner and why she couldn’t
really sleep, too. summer spooned a little of the ice cream
into her mouth, letting it melt first before swallowing it.
she hadn’t expected anyone to join her, especially at this time.
there were only a few house elves anyway. some were
cleaning up and others were prepping for breakfast. but as
always, if summer needed anything, they would cater to her needs.
summer was only in the middle of her thoughts when the door
opened, revealing a blonde girl in her pink bathrobe. her aquamarine
eyes flickered over the stranger’s face. she was pretty, summer
had to admit.
”hey,” summer greeted awkwardly.
