Also, for those that register, it'd be wise if you register the name of the character you want. And to either register as your character's nickname or your character's real name. If you put both, it's... Sort of long. So, no, "iluvjohn!" sns either. But if you do, that's alright. As Admin I have the awesome power to change your username. Thank you. <3

WELCOME

Date: August 12, 1966
City: Chicago, Illinois
What?: A Beatles concert.
That's right, we're going along a Beatles tour in America. Good times, right? Automatic fun and carefree activities, you think? Wrong. Much controversy has followed the four lads from Liverpool. From being exiled and hated in the Phillipines for an invitation they didn't even know they were breaking by the royalty themselves, to an apparently blasphmous comment that sent religous groups in a fury. Not to mention the fact that with all the screaming, they might as well just mime instead of sing. Will they find touring even worth it?
This may very well be their last tour, but if it is, they've brought along quite the new acts.
California Dreams - An All-Girl version of the Beach Boys
Lady Moon and the Night Mists - A Sister Act that may be the next face of Motown
The Entertainers - New York City boys that know how to jazz it up.
The Bouncing Beats - Lads from Scotland whose music definately make you want to move.
Shifting Light - This Ex-Rock band ( formally known as "One Four Seven" ) give a unique Indian influence and guarntee an experience you won't forget.
Who will you be in this once in a lifetime opportunity? One of the boys? One of the new acts? A part of the crew? A reporter? A photographer? A manager? Or maybe a groupie? You decide.
It's gonna be a hard days' night... Can you take it [Eight Days A Week]?

The Aspiring Hopefuls Everyone hopes to make it in the music industry. They yearn for it, they beg for it. However, all they can do is play at empty clubs, their music unheard. So to get a call to be asked to join the line-up in a tour with the Beatles is a dream come true. Will they strike a record deal of it? Or will they fall under the pressure of being in a tour, crashing and burning. There's only one way to find out.
California Dreams
The California Dreams is an all-girl band, one of the many few, that originated in, you guessed it! California. Los Angeles to be exact. The girls found each other in Highschool, and often went to the Beach durring the summertime, surfing. One of the few surfgirls on the beach. Another love that they all shared was music, and really, rock 'n' roll music and had all picked up instruments and taught each other to play. They were usually outsiders in their school, and that only served for them to get closer to eachother, forming a sort of sisterly bond.
Some might call them the female-version of the Beach Boys, having a surfgirl image and songs of having fun in the sun with beautiful melodies and harmonies. Most of their audience, if any, happen to be guys. This serves as a double-edged sword for the California Dreams. It was great that anyone seemed receptive of their music and the guys are clearly into them. However... Is it the look or the music the guys favor? The question brings the members of California Dreams questioning their skills as musicians. For them, the upcoming tour means everything.
Lady Moon and the Night Mists
This trio hope to be the next Martha and the Vandellas. A group of sisters that grew up singing gospel in their Christian home in the first tour stop, Chicago. However, as they grew into young women, their love of the gospel was soon turned into a love for R&B and Soul, and even some rock 'n' roll. Ever since then, the formed as a trio group, singing in clubs. Their one hope is to get signed by the greats, onto the Motown Label. They got that chance, as they would join the Beatles tour in August.
However, they had long left their Christian home, and the morals that their parents had instilled on them. "Lady Moon" the lead singer and eldest sister has taken a liking to alcohol and pills, sometimes together. She denies that this would pose as a problem, and she's damn determined to get a record deal. The middle child, one of the two "night mists" however, is clean and in love. However she keeps it a secret, and the child growing inside her might jeopordize the group's chance at success, and keeps her pregancy a secret as well. Then there's the youngest Night Mists member. She, too, is clean aside from the occassional drink of rum, and she is unattached and quite virginal. But, it's her voice that starts to become a problem. Not that it's getting worse, that infact, it's becoming better, softer, and more beautiful everytime she sings. The problem is, because of this, people encourage her to try and sing lead on some of the songs. And that... Is a problem. Especially where Lady Moon is concerned.
Will the sisters survive this tour and remain intact? Or will they be torn apart?
The Entertainers
These New York City boys are anything but boys. In fact, they're quite the grown men. Four mechanics who have a fondness for making music formed "The Entertainers." Their music couldn't really be classified as "Rock" as they mix everything they can play. Some of their songs are fast-paced and very much rock 'n' roll, but any any moment, some of their songs can have a real country blues kind of feel. Not only that, they could even belt out a song that has a "Big Band" 40's kind of feel as well, and they just make it work. What really stands out when they play, is that between numbers they'll talk to the audience, cracking vaudeville-type jokes. You know the ones. Old school jokes where you have the urge to carry a cane and do a tapping number to. This part of their act is largely why they call themselves "The Entertainers."
None of them expected anything to come out of their little band. Honestly, it was just something to do other than fixing cars. A hobby, even. They kept their jobs, and while the pay was okay, they all just needed to do something more, as if to truly feel alive. No plans of getting a record deal or playing infront of a large audience entered their minds. .... But this was the BEATLES.
Three of the four were married, one of them having a kid on the way. Only the lead singer was unattached and very jazzed about taking part of this tour. Once he had got the call, he had went to his boss, and quit his job of a mechanic. After much reluctance, the other three did the same. They all were a fan of the Beatles, ofcourse. But... To actually tour with them? How could one refuse that?
But whether they would make it out of the tour as the same New York men they came into it, will remain to be seen.
The Bouncing Beats
Unlike the other aspiring musicians on the tour, The Bouncing Beats originate from outside of America; Glasglow, Scotland. Four boys that found each other in high school and together fell in love with Rock 'n' Roll, therefore, they dreamed of hitting it big and getting out of Glasglow and see the WORLD. They were often put down by parents, friends and girlfriends. They would never make it, they would say. After all, what hope of four kids from the UK, quitting highschool, who mostly covered Buddy Holly, Elvis and other rock tunes? They'd never make it. No one like that would.
Then the Beatles happened.
They were obviously influenced by the band, even enough to cover a couple of their songs in performances. The audience seemed to have liked the band, however, it was painfully clear that the interest the Bouncing Beats got, was the similarities of their music to that of the Beatles. The three find no problem with this, atleast they were getting recognition and some admiration. And groupies. But... To the lead singer who actually wrote the songs, primarily by himself, it started to eat at him. He didn't want to be a cheap imitation to the Beatles, he wanted his music to be recognized for his talent, not for what his music sounded similar to. But here they are, going to America on a tour with the very band that some thought they were a "cheap imitation" to.
Well, ready or not, The Bouncing Beats were coming.
Shifting Light
The 6-peice band, Shifting Light, was formed in Boston, Massachusetts. What started as a four-peice all boys band by the name of "One Four Seven" changed in the year of 1965 after the release of the Beatles' Rubber Soul. When the lead singer heard the first sound of George Harrison playing the Sitar on "Norwegian Wood ( This Bird Has Flown )." After that, he wasted most of his money and bought himself a sitar. The one he sold it to, a devout hindu, taught him how to play. The lead singer was determined to bring the sound of the sitar to his bands' music. Durring these lessons, the lead singer had met his teacher's daughter who was also a musician of sorts, on the piano. She then joined the band, along with her brother who now took over as lead guitar as the lead singer played the Sitar while lending his vocals for the songs.
Thus, they became "Shifting Light." What an honor it was for him, that they would tour alongside the band, and man, that drove him to this direction in the band. Only one problem... The original members want the band to be what they once where. A 4-piece Rock 'n' Roll band. They don't find this Hindu influence that's taken over their friend and lead singer all that great. Especially the two new members, who they didn't even get to vote on. However, with the news of them touring with the Beatles, they have kept their thoughts to themselves.
But who knows how long that will last?
