Also, for those that register, it'd be wise if you register the name of the character you want. And to either register as your character's nickname or your character's real name. If you put both, it's... Sort of long. So, no, "iluvjohn!" sns either. But if you do, that's alright. As Admin I have the awesome power to change your username. Thank you. <3

WELCOME

Date: August 12, 1966
City: Chicago, Illinois
What?: A Beatles concert.
That's right, we're going along a Beatles tour in America. Good times, right? Automatic fun and carefree activities, you think? Wrong. Much controversy has followed the four lads from Liverpool. From being exiled and hated in the Phillipines for an invitation they didn't even know they were breaking by the royalty themselves, to an apparently blasphmous comment that sent religous groups in a fury. Not to mention the fact that with all the screaming, they might as well just mime instead of sing. Will they find touring even worth it?
This may very well be their last tour, but if it is, they've brought along quite the new acts.
California Dreams - An All-Girl version of the Beach Boys
Lady Moon and the Night Mists - A Sister Act that may be the next face of Motown
The Entertainers - New York City boys that know how to jazz it up.
The Bouncing Beats - Lads from Scotland whose music definately make you want to move.
Shifting Light - This Ex-Rock band ( formally known as "One Four Seven" ) give a unique Indian influence and guarntee an experience you won't forget.
Who will you be in this once in a lifetime opportunity? One of the boys? One of the new acts? A part of the crew? A reporter? A photographer? A manager? Or maybe a groupie? You decide.
It's gonna be a hard days' night... Can you take it [Eight Days A Week]?

John Lennon "Sorry girls, he's married!"But when the wifey is away, John will certainly play. Although having a wife, Cynthia Powell Lennon, and a son, John Charles Julian Lennon, John is forced to put his music first given that he is a Beatle... Which means he will embrace the rock star life, which just happens to include alcohol, drugs and groupies. He is known as the witty one in the bunch. Lennon's style of humour was always to combine the normal with the absurd, and then making it appear as if it was just a normal comment. He loved word play and would use it frequently. He had charisma and the fans loved it. He had intellect, though he never graduated from his highschool back in Liverpool, he just hadn't the desire to be in school and hated the school environment. His desire to become a musician, though, that burned with a furious passion. Wanting to become bigger than Elvis, he formed a band which later ( with a few member changes along the way ) became the infamous "The Beatles." However, fame didn't become what John thought it would be.
He would make a comment to a british reporter that as it stood, The Beatles were becoming more "popular than Jesus." While in England, nothing came of it. But, as it travelled to America... It caused quite an uproar. Radio stations banned their music, rallies were brought on, where people would buy and burn Beatles records, John Lennon's books ( "John Lennon: In His Own Write," and "A Spaniard in the Works." ) Some even threatened to stop their concert shows, one way or the other which frightened not only Lennon, but everyone involved.Though Lennon did make an apology for the comment in a Press Conference, a photographer was travelling with them was witnessed as Lennon, almost in tears, said, "Why couldn't I just keep my mouth shut?"
Aside from the controversy, fame started to become a sort of prisonment. It was true that touring allowed them all to visit various states and countries, but once you were there, you were forced into your hotel room until you were needed to rehearse and play. The fame that John yearned for seemed to have fought against him, and was later shown in his usual sarcastic counter-pointed lyrics to McCartney's usual upbeat and postive lyrics. But the one recent song to reveal his feelings toward this new-found fame could be the title song of their latest film ( in color ) "Help!" though no one around him seemed to notice the message.Paul McCartney "Yesterday... All my troubles seemed so far away...."Now it looks as though they're here to stay, but you couldn't tell with this one. Out of the Lennon-McCartney songwriting duo, Paul is the optimistic of the two. He was dubbed as "the cute Beatle" and had no problem with it. He was gifted when he first met John all those years ago, learning the guitar in only a year, obtaining one when his mother Mary had died of breast cancer. He was quoted as to saying, "You loose a mother, you get a guitar." He would certaintly put that guitar to good use. Women would certaintly want to be with him, and who was Paul to say "No" to them and break their hearts? What would stop him, anyway?
Certaintly not his rather steady girlfriend, british actress Jane Asher. Despite his cute face, and puppy dog eyes, Paul has been living a sort of doubled life. With Jane, he's the family kind of man. Sweet and ready to settle down and marry and have kids of his own. Away from Jane, though, he becomes quite the womanizer. Flirting with girls and often bedding them. He does live with Jane at her family's estate, where he feels as if he's part of the family. He even bought an Old English Sheepdog who he named Martha. Though, womanizing aside, the relationship between he and Jane have become rather strained as of late. Aside from his hectic schedule as a Beatle, Jane also has her hectic schedule as an actress. This frustrates McCartney, wanting a wife-like girlfriend that would stay at home. This frustration coming out in a couple of Beatles songs, "You Won't See Me," "I'm Looking Through You," etc. However, the relationship remains intact and stable, yet no engagement has been announced.
After all that the Beatles are going through, Paul has insisted that they continue touring. The other members don't seem to see eye-to-eye on that, and have on numerous occassion tried to talk him out of it. Yet, he still persists that the touring should go on. After all, what was a band if they didn't perform before a live audience? Even if their singing could hardly be heard over the screams. George Harrison "I'd make love to you, if you want me to..."As Paul was called the "Cute" one, George Harrison was often called the "Quiet Beatle" but really... This wasn't that true. In press conferences, he was one that would hardly say a word, if at all. But he did study people and situations closely, and was the most interested than any of the Beatles of the Band's finances. He will often quiz Brian Epstein about them as well. He will often wisecrack and was as able as any of the other members. On a British program where the Beatles appeared, when Paul had tried to make a joke to one of the hosts by saying, "I know you, you're the one with the big fat hairy legs!" George soon added, "We're the ones with the big fat hairy heads," which got quite a laugh from the audience.
Although George did sing lead in a couple of Beatles songs, George wrote few songs that would wind up on the records. He did make a couple of contributions, his first Harrison song was "Don't Bother Me" that wound up on the Beatles' second album, "With The Beatles." A Harrison original wouldn't go on a Beatles' record until 1965's Rubber Soul in which George wrote and sang "I Need You" and "You Like Me Too Much." He seemed to have not mind that much, however.
Durring the American Tour of 1965, George was introduced to Indian Classical Music, the work of sitar maestro Ranki Shankar. Immediately, George became fascinated with the sitar and bought his very own after a Far East Tour. He became the first Western popular musician to play one on a pop record, on the Rubber Soul track "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)" While making the Beatles' second movie, "Help!" on location in Bahamas, a Hindu devotee presented each member a book about reincarnation. This further sparked the interest of George as he embraced Hinduism.
In January 21, 1966 George married girlfriend and model Pattie Boyd, who he had met on the set of the Beatles' first and colorless movie, "Hard Days' Night." Shortly after their marriage, his wife met friend Eric Clapton, who seems to have quite an interest in Pattie. George doesn't pay it much mind. However... Such thoughts do come at you in the middle of the night, though, doesn't it? And whether George is the monogamous type remains to be seen...Ringo Starr "I'm a drummer, not a wet nurse."Before there was Ringo Starr, the Beatles had a drummer by the name of Pete Best, but he couldn't hold up the snuff as a drummer. So the three boys had requested that Ringo replace Pete. Fans were furious! At the first performance with Ringo, Pete Best fans yelled, "PETE BEST FOREVER! RINGO NEVER!" Apparently, forever for Pete Best fans didn't last that long. It seemed that "Never" was right around the corner as well.
Some might say he changed what it meant to be a drummer. He wasn't a member that was kept in the dark and was solely there to drum. He was as much a part of the Beatles as the others were. Although he hadn't written a song, the only exception is co-writing the song "What Goes On" from the Rubber Soul album with John and Paul, he has sang in atleast one song in each studio album. He was present in conferences, offering jokes and the ol' Ringo smile and baby blues. Where he shines, however, is infront of the camera. He rather took a liking to acting, getting praise for his ability, especially since he took a rather "leading" role in the latest film, Help! Who knows? Maybe if this Beatles thing doesn't work out he can be the next big movie star.
Like his bandmate George, Ringo married earlier this year, to a Maureen Cox on Febuary 11th. They had met back when Ringo was playing with the boys in the Cavern Club and have dated since. But don't despair, ladies. Just like the rest of the boys, Mr. Richard Starkey, aka Ringo Starr will most likely not turn you away. It's the 60's. It's a tour. Chaos, sex, and other unmentionables occur. All we're having is fun. Brian Epstein "I was immediately struck by their music, their beat, and their sense of humour on stage. And, even afterwards, when I met them, I was struck again by their personal charm. And it was there that, really, it all started."But who knew that it would start something as insane as Beatlemania? Certaintly not Brian Epstein, the Beatles' manager and friend. Although he had had no prior experience at being a manager, Epstein became a major force behind the band's early appearance and success. When Epstein discovered the band, they were wearing blue jeans and leather jackets, performing rowdy rock 'n' roll shows. He encouraged them to wear suits and clean up their stage performance. He insisted that they not smoke or eat onstage, and suggested the famous synchronised bow at the end of their performances. Although this image evolved over time, the comparatively clean-cut appearance (with the exception of the "mop top" hairstyles) helped the band become accepted by the mainstream media and the general public—something that almost certainly would have been impossible in the UK and U.S. of the early 1960s without Epstein's guidance.
The Beatles weren't the only band he managed, and started to manage various other bands. He had his own autobiography book published in 1964, called "Brian Epstein: A Cellarful of Noise" in which John once teased and offered the title "Cellarful of boys."
Brian was gay, a fact only known among his friends and business associates (including The Beatles themselves). Male homosexual relations were illegal throughout UK and the danger of anti-gay violence and scandal shadowed Epstein's life. Additionally, and seemingly despite his soft-spoken manner and dapper appearance, Epstein was strongly attracted to "rough trade", often seeking illicit encounters with abusive partners. He was reported to have been the object of blackmail, battery, and threats by a number of these partners. There were often rumors of a relationship between John and Brian, and though Brian did have an attraction to John, he never acted upon it. However, he did take the rumors in stride, knowing no good will come of lashing out at it. If only John would have done the same... One night, shortly after John and Brian took a 4-day holiday in Barcelona, Spain, John brutally attacked the person that was spreading the rumors, sending him to the hospital. Brian made sure that John issued an apology, stating how it was important to not act this way. Partly of his fear that his sexuality will leak out.
Having relocated to London with an office in Monmouth Street in Seven Dials in 1965 Epstein brought a controlling interest in the Saville Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue. Initially he promoted new works by writers such as Arnold Wesker in productions that occasionally fell foul of the Lord Chamberlain by including 'obscene' content or nudity. Epstein changed the programme to that of a music venue in 1966 presenting various US acts.
