So, in case anyone receives my PM:

QUOTE

Hey, everyone!

Over the past five months, at the rate of a post per several months or so, ainu, Leowyn, and I have been talking about reviving Timeless.

I know that I, for one, miss the community around here, which was full of fun and frivolity and nice people (such a rare commodity in any community.)

I don't know if this PM will reach everyone by e-mail notification, and I don't have everyone's e-mail address (as I am not an administrator personage.) But, anyway, I for one think Timeless totally deserves a revival. If for no other reason than that 23,992 posts have been made, and it would be a shame to lose out on the wonderful threshold of 24,000.

If you are with me, try and show up around Timeless sometime soon! It would be cool to hear what you all have been up to.

Gandalf

Here's a thread to let us know what you've been up to during the Long Silence of Timeless.

I hope the admins don't think I'm out of place, but I have to say I've missed this place :-)

Anyway. . .I've been practicing my flute, going to community college, and am going to be starting a certificate program at Berklee College this January. Writing stuff (stories, poems, books, and all that rot) also.

What have you been doing?

yay for revivals! thanks, gandalf. :) i don't think this is out of place at all. !

flute sounds wonderful! i always wanted to try that when i was in school, but i never had the lungs for it. i hope it's going well for you.

i've been working at a non-profit organization working with birds of prey, hawks, eagles, owls, etc, and some other creatures. but at the end of the month i'll be starting a new job at a Zoo as an Educator, writing and giving environmental education programs to people of all ages and sizes and whatnot. so i'm starting to get very excited about that. i'm ready for something new!

hope everyone else is doing well, too. i hope to see people around here soon!! :-)

Hey, good luck with that, ainu! Educator sounds like coolness :-)

In other what's-been-happening-news, I will be starting a program through Berklee College (the Music one) this January in "Contemporary Writing and Production" . Should be interesting, if a tad intimidating.

Ainu, it looks like you're on a similar track to my brother, but not quite. He's working with a small wildlife trust, doing grounds management and stuff, but there is an education aspect to the job (volunteer traineeship, unfortunately, but it's so hard to get a paying job until you've got experience). Hard work, but enjoyable, I hope.

I've started college now (UK college, so 16-18 establishment of education), studying Maths, French, German, English Lit. I love every one of my subjects, but I just find I've got no time left in school for... people. Well, that's an exaggeration. When it comes to choosing uni stuff, it'll be between languages, linguistics, and maths, or a mix between them all. I'll have to see what's an option, and what I find myself most interested in when it comes to uni applications, in less than a year's time :s!
