I'm always interested in adding new varieties to my Wild Garden. Here are some of the Edible plants in my garden that many people would do what I used to do, pull them up, or not be aware they are edible and useful for Medicine or Tea:

> Calendulas
> Henbit
> Dandelion
> Stinging Nettles
> Chickweed
> Mallow

I have lots of other Weeds in my garden, hoping to identify more Wild Edibles ....

I like to allow most of the plants in my garden go to seed, which allows many Volunteer plants to spring up all around my garden. Some of the plants that add beauty to my Wild Garden: Radish (I've eaten the Radish Flowers and Pods, which adds a nice spicy flavor!), Southern Curled Mustard, Red Giant Mustard (edible Flowers), Chinese Cabbage (edible Flowers).

Has anyone used any of these plants for Medicine or Tea: Verbena, Morning Glory, Four O'clocks, Ice Plant, Geranium, Dusty Miller, Snapdragon, African Daisy ....

The people I used to know woulda used morning glories and 4 0'clocks to trip...
Apparently the tuber of the four oclock is something like shrooms or peote.

I never had much luck with morning glories...

I suggest avoiding datura and brugmansia... while they're trippy, it's not much fun... plus I've read that you can use Thorazine to totally boost the effect... now... that's scary!

I've read that you can use buckeye (leaves and seeds) like poppies... Personally, I quit partying b4 discovering a lot of these uses.

I grew cranberry hibiscus last year... Liked them a lot.... ate the fruit straight off the plant.

I still want to try strawberry chenopodium

Those oca tubers sound interesting too.

Do you have pictures of the plants needing identified?

I'm in the process of writing a defense of those plants (formerly called weeds), which are simply mis-identified jewels in the landscape... 1200 words, and still going...

You know... you might enjoy the in defense of weeds post that roadrunner started over at I-dig...
