It's a Virginia Anemone. Virginia anemones are dissapointing in the garden. The flowers are almost invisible, so you rarely see them bloom. While not invasive, virginia anemones do set seed and self-sow. http://www.missouriplants.com/Whitealt/Ane...niana_page.html
