So I was browsing through the store the other day (actually more of an itemizing of plumbing parts), and I came across "pvc reinforced tubing". It comes in similar sizes to normal vinyl tubing, and the sizes I checked (ID of 1/4" and 3/8") were pressure rated for over 200 psi and were 35 and 60 cents a foot, respectively.

1/4" brass tees can fit inside a 1" pvc tee. The smallest size available, ID 1/4" and OD 1/2", can fit inside 1/2" pvc pipe (no fittings).
So what do you think of using this in homemades? The fittings are more expensive (you have to use brass) but the smaller size and flexible tubing can make much more compact designs.
EDIT: I'm posting this over on WWc since nobody seems to check here.
