1/2 inch is not a problem for nexxus 3.
cause i had the same problem before. don't worry it will fit.just ask some help to put the rim in while you pull the both side frame in opposite way. cause if you gonna do it by yourself it's hard and need some patience. |

You can have someone help you stretch both sides of the frame... But this almost always leads to scratched/chipped paint during the install. Also if your wheel fits in so tight to the point where you wheel can't roll inside the frame forks, you will later find out that when you pull your wheel out to change your tire, your fender braces (especially twisted ones) will flare out and scratch more paint. To avoid this, just rebuild your hub axle. Simply replace the two nuts that are one either side of your axle in between the frame with slightly thinner ones. The bolt on the side of the coaster brake usually wont budge so you might have to go to go to your local bicycle shop and buy the parts needed to build one. Hope this helps
