Kyat sighed through her chocolate nose again, almost grinning as a small bubble popped from her left nostril. Glancing at the tissue she had already used sitting sadly on the corner of her seat, Kyat decided she had better use it. She and Adamya didn't have a cold, but sticking one's nose out a moving car's window did tend to cause a slight run. Adamya silently watched her wipe her nose on the tissue, in all honesty making sure she didn't go past the tissue with that big sniffer of hers, before she returned her nose to stick outside her window. They were in Adamya's car, a blue Vauxhall Astra that he had had for a few years now. Despite the car being at the age when most car-buffs would trade it in for a deposit on a newer model due to depreciation, it was in as good a condition as it had been when he'd received it. The only difference between then and now was that it currently smelt of wet dog.
They had been with a client, who had just wanted some company that was male, friendly and non-assuming. That was the sort of client Adamya strived for. Well, he didn't exactly strive for any client. They came to him through recommendations and business cards found in cleverly placed locations. When the young lady had booked and asked for him to meet her at the beach, Adamya had gone that little bit further and had brought a picnic as well as himself and Kyat. He'd avoided alcohol though, instead packing an assortment of flavoured water drinks from the food shop he'd dashed into. For a hurriedly-created-the-night-before-picnic, the spread hadn't been bad. He glanced over his shoulder, to see the wicker picnic basket sat almost proudly on the back seat, with plenty of food left despite both daemons also sharing the pleasure of eating it. He reahced behind him, dipping his left hand into the basket, and pulling out the tinfoil wrapped sandwiches that remained. Bringing his arm and catch back to the front of the car, his brown eyes looked out the front window. Still stuck behind the lorry waiting to turn left.
Adamya's right indicator was softly ticking, soothing him despite waiting for roughly ten minutes just to take your ordinary, run-of-the-mill turn. There weren't even any traffic lights here to stop them, and they were on the major road. "Want a sandwich?" he asked Kyat with a soft smile. She turned her head form the window and looked at the tinfoiled package curiously. Smells like ham. Okie dokie. Adam gently peeled back the tinfoil to reveal his handmade sandwiches. He handed her the last white bread sandwich. He'd gone mostly for brown bread, but had done the odd sandwich in white. A lot of women preferred brown because it was healthier than white bread. Not that it had ever made a difference to Adamya, though he had to admit he preferred brown due to taste. Well, unless there was soup involved, or egg.
Kyat gently took the sandwich between her teeth, making sure not to bite Adamya. It would be like biting her own paw after all, then titled her head back and snapped her jaws a few times, allowing gavity and her tongue to share the work of making the sandwich go down. She swallowed and licked her lips. Her tail wagged, but only at the end due to how she was sitting on her back legs, her rear to the seat's back and her front legs just a little distance away from the edge. Another? Please? Adamya chuckled, happily giving her the next sandwich. She wolfed that one down too. As she did that, Adamya glanced at the car park to their left once again. "You know what? Let's get out and walk the rest of the way. I'm fed up of listening to the engine guzzle my earnings away." Kyat laughed. That makes sense, especially as we are going to the bank. Adamya was taking his week's earnings, which was a nice amount. Not the best for an escort who had seen more profitable weeks, but then he was in a less populated area than he used to be. Adamya then clicked his indicator stick up, making the lights in the left indicators flash instead of the right ones, and then carefully used his clutch control to ease the car into the car park's entrance without catching his right side mirror on the lorry.
Grabbing the first space available, Adamya glanced around to ensure nobody was paying him close attention, then opened up the glove compartment in front of Kyat and took out two wallets. Keeping his arm lower than the front windows, he brought them to his lap and transferred all the money into the wallet he was currently carrying, making sure to add the amount up in his head for the umpteenth time. He then got out and waited for Kyat to leave the confines of the car via his door, before shutting and locking it. They took a leisurely speed as they strolled to the ticket booth and paif for that with some loose change in Adamya's back trouser pocket. After placing it on the car, they walked out of the car park, ran across the road and strolled to the right turn they had wanted, enjoying the warm sun greeting them as they turned round it.
