FOXWORTH ANNOUNCES LATEST CAMPAIGN
Evelyn Foxworth, the first openly vampire politician, has announced that she will be running for the position of Mayor next term. Berryns current Mayor, Atticus Brooke has stated in an interview that the inclusion of a vampire runner will add an extra issue to the election. Campaigners from the League for Non-Human Integration have applauded the move. Berryn Falls has also never had a female Mayor, proving that the next election will be the most interesting in recent years.
PSYCHOLOGISTS STATE THAT DISORDER IS ON THE RISE
Psychologists from Warwick University have forwarded information that Daemon Proximity Disorder (DPD) has doubled over the last three years. Cases of patients that are unable to move the usual four to five metres away from their daemons have been on the increase for a number of decades, culminating in a huge rise over this short period. Currently, there is no cure short of intense counselling sessions. Controversially, some psychologists are advocating the reintroduction of electro-convulsive therapy (ECT) as a treatment for sufferers of DPD.
ANGER AT VAMP-WOLF QUOTAS
The Association for the Advocation of Human Authority has revealed high quota figures from the government where vampires and werewolves are considered for work before humans. This was part of a governmentally funded measure to help aid the integration of vampires and werewolves, which has now angered many of the communities involved. As the quota figures are voluntary, this has not yet hit Berryn Falls, but campaigners from the AAHA have expressed concerns about the measure becoming compulsory.
