Stirring the sugar into her coffee, Evelyn inhaled the aroma of the sweet smell of it. It probably wasn't as good, as decent, as amazing as Starbucks was, but hopefully it was close to something similar. After a long discussion of political nonsense it was important for Evelyn to have her coffee, and some good coffee, preferably. I thought they would never leave.. That young raccoon was really getting on my nerves. After all those years I still dont get it how some daemons can act so childish and naive. Sage complained in a low aggravated growl. Oh shush, Sage. It wasnt that bad. Not all people are blessed with our years of wisdom. And besides, I like them the way they are. Nave. Evelyn smirked before taking a sip of the coffee and let the warm liquid caress over her lips. I still think it is wrong. Them being nave, doesnt mean you have to take advantage of them.

Evelyn waved the comments of her friend away with a small smile on her lips. The past hour she had spend her time at this same table in company of three men. Two of them were fellow politicians and the third was a young boy in service of the two men. They had heard news about her latest campaign and had been questioning her being suited for the position of mayor. At first she was a woman and there had never been a female mayor before. Second and most important, she was a vampire. No matter how hard they tried to question her suitability though, they bumped again and again their heads against the law of prejudice the infected. With her sharp tongue she knew to disprove their arguments and leave them speechless. At the end, their faces had been as red as tomatoes out of shame. All charmed by the womans ways. There would be a big chance she would be send flowers later with their apology, trying to get back on Evelyns grace.
Something that happened occasionally since she announced her latest campaign of running for the position of mayor next term.

Taking another sip of her coffee, Evelyn let her eyes skim over her surroundings. The popular local pub had been silent, but that was no surprise since it was broad day. Most of the people rather liked to visit the pub during the evening for a nice drink. The pub wasn't completely her style, she preferred upscale cafs or restaurants with good service, but for a local pub it was okay. The name though.. The Hanging Fox? What kind of name was that? She wondered which moron had ever thought up that name and with what intentions. When she would be the new mayor that would be the first thing she was to change. She was Evelyn Foxworth and if she didnt knew better this could have been something to do with her name. Maybe the owner was some member of the Anti-Infected Association. But why wait for her being mayor? If she wanted things to change, things would change. Hmm, maybe she would go up to the owner for a talk about it later.

Placing the mug down on the table, Evelyn picked up the latest issue of The Berryn Observer. Unfolding the newspaper she read the latest news about the Daemon Proximity Disorder and the ANGER AT VAMP-WOLF QUOTAS. She nodded pleased at the words of the new arising meassures, it wouldnt last long before it would hit Berryn Falls as well. With a self-contented smile Evelyn let her eyes glide over the article about her announcement at cityhall. It was a good and nice article. Things seemed to go as planned. It wouldn't last long before...

The large Gray Wolf began to sit up strait.
Someone is coming our way.

Adamya stiffled a yawn by habit as he and the large clean snow-white Great Dane strolled down the path, looking for somewhere that might sell something even half-decent to eat. When Adamya looked down at Kyat with his chocolate-brown eyes, he found Kyat's beautiful eyes seeking his. He adored her amber eyes, and knew each individual streak of brown that radiated outwards from the pupils. She gave him her soppy grin, her tongue lollying out on the left side as she wagged her tail lazily side to side as they walked alongside each other.

Adamya placed a hand on Kyat's head, between her upright left ear and her floppy right ear, the right ear holding one black spot. Kyat's chocolate-brown nose suddenly began to sniff as she raised her nose higher into the air. Chips, Adam. The pub. Adamya looked away from his daemon's eyes, looking at the pub one door down their path. Above the door were the words, 'The Hanged Fox', and a swinging sign showed a dead fox as it squeaked with the slight breeze.
"What sort of name is that for a pub?" smiled Adamya. Kyat licked her lips for a moment as she thought about the chips she could smell.
Does it matter? Lunchtime! Adamya nodded, so he and Kyat edged to the worn dark woodern door and peered in through the ajar door.

It was almost deserted. A man stood behind the bar, cleaning the bar surface, making it reflect the light momentarily before the breeze fluttered past Adamya and Kyat caressed the bar long enough to dry it. They stepped through the doorway, both having to squeeze through tightly to both enter at the same time. As Adamya strolled towards the bar, he and Kyat smelled coffee. Both their sets of eyes spun round to see a woman, a surprisingly beautiful woman, nursing a coffee with her wolf daemon. Adamya turned his attention back to the bar, and smiled at the man behind it. "Are you serving food?" The barman said he could, and asked what they wanted. The hint of chips earlier frmo Kyat had caused Adamya to want the same, so he asked for two helpsings of chips, before watching the barman scurry off into the back. Kyat couldn't quite see over the counter, but she could rest her nose on it. She did that as they patiently waited, before looking at the woman again.

Adam, do you recognise her? Adamya hurriedly thought, viewing the woman again.
No. Should I? She isn't one of my clients, is she? Considering the amount of time Adamya spent with his clients monthly (most would hire him on a regular basis), he would like to think he hadn't forgotten any of his new clients here at Berryn Falls.
I think so. Not through life. The news or something. I'm sure I've seen her on TV. Adamya suddenly smiled.
"That's that woman running for mayor, isn't it?" said Adamya softly. Kyat tilted her head to the right, causing her floppy ear to dangle a little more to the right.
Yes. You're right. Evelyn Foxworth, isn't it? wondered the Great Dane.
"Something like that." Adamya then turned his back to the woman, leaning against the bar instead, waiting for their chips. Kyat meanwhile continued to view the woman running for mayor, and her wolf daemon.

A man strolled into the pub, one hand in his left hip pocket of his grey suit trousers. His keys jingled in his other pocket as he made his way to the bar. He gave the barman a warm smile, before asking how he was and enquiring into the barman's family's health.

As he politely listened to the response, giving the appropriate understanding nods and hums, an Egyptian Asp slid out from his right suit cuff. The small snake lifted her broad triangular head proudly, before flicking a tongue out at the barman. She turned her attention to her other half, the current mayor of Berryn Falls. He's upset about something. she stated. Atticus Brooke seemed not to hear, his brown eyes watching the barman, paying his attention to the dull conversation. The barman finally stopped going on about his family problems and asked if the mayor would like anything. Atticus nodded. "A coffee for now. I'm meeting an old friend for lunch here." The barman appeared to perk up a little. Perhaps he hadn't had that many customers lately. Atticus held his hand out to Keero, his daemon, and she twirled twice round his wrist.

They settled at the table beside Adamya's, Atticus' eyes catching on his competition. Foxworth. He made sure not to give his hatred of vampires away. She would be here, wouldn't she? It seemed that whenever he wanted peace and quiet, her name or face would appear. Atticus ran a hand through his brown hair with its lighter blond bits. He then stood up from the seat he had taken and approached Evelin Foxworth. He gave her a smile. "Miss. Foxworth. What a pleasent surprise. I hope you are in good health?"
Do vampires even get ill? asked Keero. The Egyptian Asp lifted her head from Atticus' wrist and watched the vampire, awaiting the response.
