Hey guys, been trying to get ReMooD working on Ubuntu all day and I'd managed to get it to run (mostly) there are just a few thing that still aren't working properly:

- load and save are greyed out (not yet added / disabled somewhere?)
- no music
- problems with azerty keyboard (have to use a slightly athletic keyboard configuration)
- hud (doomguy head, etc) isn't drawn (edit*,**)
- can't seem to change iwad now that I've set it up (okay, that's just me being retarded)

Let me know if anyone else has had these problems and whether they've found a fix. I'm using the most up-to-date Ubuntu distro and freedoom's doom2.wad (for now).

Cheers,

William

*managed to get this too appear by fiddling around with the screen size - trouble of course is that the resolution of the HUD can't scale up, so if you play the game at 1024x768 you can't really see it very well sad.gif
Is this something I can fix or is that stuff the way it is?

**feel very sheepish - not sure why it wasn't appearing in the first place, but now that it is I've turned back on scaling, so that's no longer a problem. Just wish I could save.

- Saving and loading is currently been disabled. There will be saving and loading in the next version.
- There is no music yet, there will be in the next version.
- Not sure about the keyboard
- Not sure about the hud, possibly a bug?

Hello, there is no Music and save game support currently (as of the latest version).

For the AZERTY keyboard and weapon switching, if you go to the control options you should be able to change the keys that each weapon uses. Try that out then come back here and tell us if it worked or not.

Dang - ah well, ReMood seems to be pretty well maintain from what little I've heard, I'll look forward to that update.

I did get the HUD working though I'm not sure what was wrong with it in the first place, and a chap I talked to on the IRC seemed to have music which is odd... perhaps I'm simply going mad.

On azerty you need to hold shift to get at numbers, so I reassinged the controls so that I would get the same result (the character created when you don't hold shift):
1 = &
2 = é
3 = "
4 = '
5 = (
6 = -
7 = è
8 = _

The problem is that the accents é and è are not recognised by the program, so it brings up the console instead. I jumped down one row and reassigned the weapons to:
1 = A
2 = Z
3 = E
4 = R
5 = T
6 = Y
7 = U
8 = I
But having played Doom on and off since I was about 8 it feels a little strange - I know I'm being a little picky but the fact remains that you loose parts of the keyboard with an azerty sad.gif

Had a similar problem with Legacy jumping into the console until I moved the CONSOLE key out of the way and made sure to get all the key mappings.
My console key is now SCROLL_LOCK.

I did reset all the keys, but I still get the console whenever I hit alt130 or alt138 (thqt's the two Es) my theory is that anything that isn't a "normal" character will cause the console to come up, no matter what key the console is set to.
