Fan - made characters 2.0, discuss fan-made characters

I just remembered, we had a fan-made character thread a long time ago. I thought it might be a good idea to bring it back. So here we can post info about the characters we've created and discuss them as well.

I'll start us off below.

I revised my characters a bit, so they could fit the mood of what I like to call The SpectralSteel Stories. Some have new personality elements even. However, I'll just introduce one at a time so I don't confuse people. Below you'll see info on the new Sunset.

Name: Sunset
hair: red with streaks of orange and yellow
eyes: amethyst
outfit: a dress that looks similar to Moonglo's with ribbons flowing from it. varying from red to orange to yellow.
age: unknown. looks to be the age of the other colour kids.
best friends: Moonglo and Rainbow Brite
Powers: Creating beautiful Sunsets.

Sunset is a peaceful and loving artist, yet she is very naive and slightly childish. She does not grasp the concept of enemies, which makes her a perfect target for Murky's plans, which Sunset has a way of turning around on him, thinking they're only a game. Yet for some odd reason, Murky now has his sights set on stealing Sunset's paintings and making a fortune off of them.

Changes: The new Sunset is more naive and even childish. This change will fit the humorous mood of the new stories well. I've also given Sunset a french accent. She sometimes mixes bits of french into her speech as well.

Lol, cool, but we got like 30 fan made characters over on the rpg rainbow brite board. it would take me forever to post all their profiles, lol

Mind you that this is my old character from the past.


Name: Sun Brite
His hair: It's short like Buddy Blue and Red Bulter - red with streaks of Orange and Yellow.
His eyes: Blue
His outfit: Wears a loose outfit that looks similar too a Janitor's uniform with Boots with Red, Yellow, and Orange Stripe. Even has a Janiotr's Hat that has a image of a Sun on the front.
His age: Same age as the other colour kids and Rainbow Brite.
Best friends: Pretty Much Everyone.
Powers: He's responsible for polishing and making sure that the sun stays shiny. And his hat's sun symbol can emit Sunrays which allowed him to walk everywhere. (Like Rainbow Brite's Rainbows)

Sun Brite is very independent person, he dosen't mainly do what other people tells him to do but he would listen and care about you. He's alway busy because the Sun can lose its shine at any minute. He may be busy but he would rush to help if his friends are in trouble.

Changes: The new Sun Brite used to wear tight clothes like Buddy Blue but now as you can notice, I have stuck him in Janitor's outfit. He used to own Sunriser but now I had reliezed - "what's the point?" so I took Sunriser out of the picture. Also, he has a crush on Moonglo now. Who dosen't? Moonglo is kinda cute for a cartoon drawing.

NAME: Janice

NICKNAMES: Janice the Light, Lady Brite, Jan, Jane, The Brite Light

OCCUPATION: gaurdian of light

DESCRIPTION: long, middle back length, white streaked, silver hair. normally in a silver dress, that touches the floor and sweeps out behind her, with a white sash about her middle, long sleeves that cover her hands, and triangle collar that ends just below her shoulders, hemmed in white. If it's cold she wears a silver hemmed, white cloak. She wears white slippers. Her battle clothes are: white hemmed, silver skirt that ends at the ankle and a long sleeved, silver shirt that covers up her hands. The shirt has the same type and color collar as her dress. She always wears a blood red, wooden rainbow that her ally and lifelong friend (Ashantya) gave to her as a parting present before her friend went to meet, what they tought was, her death. Multiple bracelets and rings given to her by many friends are always seen on her arms and hands. IF you look on her right side you'll always see a white leather pouch filled with first aid supplies. On her left, she almost always is carrying her staff.

WEAPON: Lady Brite uses a staff carved by her friend (Ashantya). The staff is named the Light Staff of Love. It has a hot pink heart at the top and a pine green and dirt brown snake spiriling up the staff with it's head at the top and mouth opened as if to eat the heart. The snake's eyes are red surrounded by yellow. The rest of the staff is a shimmery black onix.

PERSONALITY: Jan is one of the sweetest people in all universes and dimensions. She's always looking on the bright side of things and can always find hope where none others can. If you ever see her despair you'd better run because her friend (Ashantya) will kick everyone's rear ends until she finds out why! She is a skilled fighter, though clumsy and the fact she doesn't wish to harm anyone, and is looked for when something goes wrong to find cheerfulness.

RACE: same as Rainbow

OTHER: almost always with the Angel of Death

FAMILY: Whisp's younger sister, very few, including Rainbow, know that she is

ABILITIES: making people smile and feel better, even if it costs her happiness.

LoL Lady B you didn't mention wisp Ray and Zacoria in the family bit. or is that cos they don't 'exist' yet? hehehe

Hair: Brown, a cross between Lala Orange and Moonglo's style
Outfit: White Turltleneck shirt, off white sweater, plaid skirt, Knee socks,penny loafers, tartan, and hat

Fur colors: Black with yellow streaks and yello face
Can speak English and Sprite talk
Name inspiration: Team nickname of Highland Springs High School

Nessie
Species: Loch Ness Monster like creatue with human abilities
Skin color. Dark Green
Outfit: T-shirt, Kilt, and hat
Abilites: can tranform from land to sea creature
Can talk English with a Scotish accent



Icetina
Gender: Female
Hair: long silver-whiteish, with a bottom of head ponytail
Outfit: Ice blue satain skaters dress, white shimery tights, and Ice blue slippers with ribbons
Companion: Chillene
Species: Sprite with star antenne
Fur color: ice blue
Can speak English and Sprite Talk
Special note: She isa a female Sprite cousin of Glacier.

Chrono Colours: the reality hopping, time travelling, heavy metal colour kids. Their mission is to bring colour to worlds in need and maybe have a conceart while they're at it.


Crimson

eyes: Purple
Hair: red, very long.
outfit: black pants with red trim. red shirt with a symbol resembling the colour belt on it. black jacket with red trim and a red star on the back.
age: appears to be 15
best friends: Lemon and Midnight
musical instrument: electric guitar and vocals

Despite being leader of the Chrono Colours, Crimson tends to be a little hot headed and impulsive. However, she'll do anything to protect her friends, which she does prove in somewhat reckless ways. She has been designated Chrono Colour One. Hence the red roman numeral one on her left cheek.



Lemon

eyes: blue
hair: blonde, braided into a single tail.
Outfit: black pants with yellow trim. yellow shirt with colour belt symbol on it. black jacket with yellow trim and yellow star on the back.
age: appears to be 14
best friends: Midnight and Crimson
musical instrument: bass

Lemon is basically the heart of the team. She's like the little sister, Crimson and Midnight find themselves looking out for. She tends to be rather childish and somewhat spacy. She has been designated Chrono Colour Two and has a yellow roman numeral two on her left cheek.


Midnight

eyes: light blue (wears thin, blue framed glasses)
hair: dark blue and very long.
outfit: black pants with blue trim. blue shirt with colour belt symbol. black jacket with blue trim and a blue star on back.
age: appears to be 16
best friends: Crimson and Lemon
musical instrument: drums

Midnight is the brains of the team. while deep and intellectual, she has another side of her personality which is a bitting whit and plenty of sarcasm. She tends to be a little rough on those she thinks of as less intelligent, but that dosen't mean she dosen't like them, it's just the way she is. She has been designated Chrono Colour Three and has a blue roman numeral three on her left cheek.

I made 4 kids, the nutural or colorless kids. Origionaly created by the dark one, they were to be the anti color kids ^^

Name: Slate Gray
Hair: Super spikey grey hair with a super tiny ponytail in back.
Eyes: cold steel grey
Outfit: Kinda like Red's but with a long over/trench coat that whirls around him like a cape. On the coat is an almost harness/belt like design. In shades of grey colors, naturally. Shoes are the puffy boot style.
Friends: He prefer's to be a loner pretty much most of the time, but is generally considered the leader of the colorless kids. Likes Stormy for her attitude.

Personality: Slate had a very dominate attitude, when meeting murkey and lerkey for the first time, he was very unimpressed or frightened by them. Being the first kid created by the dark one, he has the more authorative personality. He can be bossy and mean spirited at times, but never so far as 'evil' hence he, and the other colorless kids were disgarded by the dark one as failures.

Name: Jet Black
Hair: Shiney black bowl cut.
Eyes: Very dark brown
Outfit: Inspired by his nationality, (much like Indigo's) His top is some what loose with a mandarin collar and tied with his black star belt with the end loose and drooping down over his pants. his pants are also loose fitting ending in white rings around his ankles. Shoes are black flat slippers.
Friends: Jet is a lover of the night so naturally he befriends Moonglo very easily.

Personality: If slate is the leader, Jet is the ninja spy. He knows many martial arts, and his dark shadowy coloring helps him blend in well with just about any surounding. Jet will keep a cool head, trying to remain in harmony with his training.
Over all friendly, except with the 'enemy' as he know's them.

Name: Lilly White
Hair: Long white hair pulled up into a pony tail with a bow, and thick tendrils on either side of her face. Blunt bangs.
Eyes: Very pale blue
Outfit: White dress styled much like shy violet's, her 'harness' like belt almost criss crosses her chest rather than laying strait over her shoulders. Her shoes are ballet slipper styled, with white ribbons that tie up to her knees.
Friends: Lilly dosen't make friends easily, many take her quiet nature as snobby or apathetic.

Personality: Like her color, lilly is very cold and distant. She speaks very litte, prefering to watch events rather than take part. This is often seen as apathy or aloofness. She acts delecate and feminine, her speech is soft and slow. Lilly's hobby is ballet dancing.

Name: Coco Brown
Hair: Short curly brown hair done uo in two bun-like poofs on the top of her head. Cute curly-Q in the middle of her forehead.
Eyes: Dark brown
Outfit: Much like Lala's but very short. Her's is the only kid with no long sleeves on her dress, instead she has short poof sleeves, and brown chunky bangle braceletts on her wrists and ankles. Her shoes are sandals.
Friends: Coco grew attached to Lurkey very fast!

Personality: Coco is a very sweet girl, with a mothering type nature. She does not fit in well with the colorless kids, (since she IS a color) but for some reasons known only to herself does she stays with the group. Perhaps loyalty to both the dark one, who created her, and Lurky. She is the cook of the bunch, and spends most of her time in the kitchen baking cakes and cookies. She can also sing rather well too

personality: kind, yet hard headed, gets into a lot of trouble that his sister gets him out of, would protect his sister with his life, kind of pesimistic, but has hidden hopes, and gets angry easily if any of his friends are threatened by anything.

I think I saw drawings of them while ago, I like them.

The additional Chrono Colours. Two others were added during their journeys. Not only are they of great help, but they also complete the band.

Sea Green

hair: sea green, long and wavy
outfit: black pants with sea green trim. sea green shirt with colour belt logo. black jacket with sea green trim and star on the back.

best friends: Crimson, Lemon, Midnight, and Mauve.
musical instrument: guitar

Sea Green is the calm and collected member of the group. She remains slightly mysterius and dosen't say much, but when she does it's either profound or other times nonsensical. Within the band she is the second guitarist giving the Chrono Colours' power metal band, Spectral Steel, the dual guitar sound they need. She is designated Chrono Colour number four and has a sea green roman numeral four on her left cheek.


Mauve

eyes: various shades of flowing pink
hair: mauve, pulled back into a tail, bangs that nearly hang over her eyes
outfit: black pants with mauve trim. mauve shirt with colour belt logo. black jacket with mauve trim and star on the back.
age: appears to be 14
best friends: Lemon, Midnight, Crimson, and Sea Green
musical instrument: keyboards and piano

Mauve is extremely energetic and easily exited. She has slightly nonsensical yet humorous tendancies and continues to puzzle her friends with her actions. She has been designated Chrono Colour number five and has a mauve roman numeral five on her left cheek.

(Wow, first time on in over a year, and one of the first posts I find...how coincidental. Especially since I was just rereading my story last night )

Interesting story behind my main original character. In 7th grade I had just gotten back into Rainbow Brite, so the first thing I did was think, "What would I do if I were magically transported to Rainbowland?" So, I made myself into a character named Sel (who was me, but thinner and with green eyes, because all my characters had blonde hair and green eyes at that point). So I started writing, and within 2 pages Sel was no longer me. Don't you hate it when characters evolve on you? It's very funny for me to read the story, which is 60 pages long now and written over seven years, and see how the characters and descriptions change.

So, voila:
Name: Selene Iris Renault (I think...)
Age: 13
Hair: Blonde and frizzy
Eyes: Green *author groans*
History: OK, don't kill me yet. I kind of created my own system of the universe, which slowly comes together in the story (very confusingly). Basically, after the Princess tried to take over Spectra, the planets she had formerly ruled over banded together to form an alliance against any would-be dictators (is this cheesy or what?).

But, long before all of this, the Great Ones (in my story, Lady Brite is one of these) created the universe and ruled it. They had children, who were less than their parents but more than mortal. The Great Ones left the universe and gave the planets to their children to rule over. The oldest two were given all of the planets that the Princess later took over. They later divided these up between their two daughters, Theirael (I think) and Melayel. Melayel was the original princess of Spectra, and a sorceress. Theirael was in charge of the other planets.

Flash forward to about 1960 in Earth years. The Evil One gets freaked out about not having anyone to carry on his dreams about conquering the universe and all that after he...dies, or whatever it is creatures of darkness do. (Rainbow didn't totally defeat him, BTW, she just weakened and banished him). So, he finds Theirael, who's really power-hungry anyway, and they become *ahem* involved. Result: the Princess. This makes the Evil One angry, because, dang it, he wants a son! So, a few years later, he tries again with Melayel. Melayel also has a daughter. She, in her infinate wisdom, hides the child on earth before she herself is murdered by the Evil One. Take a wild guess at that baby's name

Flash forward again. Sel, now thirteen, keeps having these crazy dreams, and then one day, she meets Brian at school. Brian, for some reason, offers to walk her home. She accepts. Hey, guess what-- car whizzes out of nowhere! Both of them are knocked out! They wake up in Rainbowland! Quelle suprise!

Powers: take a wild guess. Yes, she's a sorceress, in the fashion of her mother. Healing, light, and defensive shields will become her main powers (haven't gotten that far in the story yet). Oh, and she sees the future in her dreams.

Friends: Brian, Krys, Moonglo, and Stormy. Rainbow, Canary, and Lala also get along well with her.

Personality: Not very likeable, actually. She's kind of bitter and she's extremely introverted and secretive. Her personality is almost the anti-Color Kid. She really doesn't like many people. Some of this comes from lack of confidence, but even when she becomes more sure of herself, she still isn't that likeable. She has a tendency to pick fights (evidence: relationship with Krys)

Her best friend is Brian. One of the things that I really find funny about Sel is that, even though she ends up staying in Rainbowland for quite some time, the majority of the Color Kids actually don't get along with her. Oh, and she holds a grudge: later, she and Krys have a fight and they end up not speaking for years (literally).
