I'm new to this board! I am from Western New York. I think it would be awesome to meet other rainbow Brite fans from around here. I personally always loved her cartoons and toys since they were out in the eighties and now I have a pretty nice sized collection going. I still remember having a rainbow brite pop up tent and sleeping in it with my dolls and my RBB tape player listening to the cassettes that went along with the books. Darn it I grew up around 13 or so and sold all my RBB stuff and now I regret it now that some of it is pricey now but i'm hoping to attain it again.
I see some members on here that I've seen on ebay and they are all really wonderful to do business with! Talk later!

Don't worry. You'll get your RBB stuff back. It'll just take a while to build that collection again. I started my RBB/Chipmunk collection 5 yrs ago and I feel like my house (when I get one) will explode with all the 80s stuff. I also started a collection of MLP, LLL, Popples, Pokemon, CB, and a few others. Problem is everything is packed away in another state. But that hasn't stopped me from still collecting.. I would love to meet other fans of the 80s. It's so wonderful to talk to people that can relate.

Kinda late chiming in on this thread (mainly because I wasn't a member till this year :P ) but might as well add to the tally of New York folk.

I live in Buffalo, NY.

But I also have no problem travelling to NYC for a weekend. My parents live in NJ just 2 hours from the city, so there's no trouble for me finding a place to stay and for me it's really not all too long of a drive.

I live in Jamestown, N.Y!!

Buffalo is only an hour or so drive from here. Neato!!

I already met Ruth Ann aka iamragdolly. I hope to meet much more from around here as in Ohio, New York, P.A, Virginia, etc. everyone is way cool!

It would be even awesome if we could have a Rb meetup for everyone on the east coast as well as the west and the south. Then we can gets pics and put them together and post them on here :P

Yes I have. I drive through there on my way to see my Mom and Brother in Pottsville PA. My BF and I will be going through there in about 2 weeks because we are going down for a visit.

WOW! So many of you are close to me!!! I'm aboutl 45 minutes from Buffalo if you go East towards Rochester, Syracuse. I'm in rural West Henrietta. We DEFINITELY need to do a meetup!!!

Never watched She-Ra but I know of Frosta because I remember her from this one action figure commercial. :D :P She looked cool (no pun intended).

I actually wasn't thinking frigid person necessarily either, just a cold weather fan perhaps. I once had the nickname of Ice Man, but it had nothing to do with my personality... I just love winter. :)

I love winter, but Western NY winters are really harsh. My favorite time of the year is actually fall :) It is the prettiest time of year.

I mostly like snow, ice storms are perdy too. Only problem I have is when it gets to -20... but after the summer we just had, I welcome some cold weather.

I hope we actually get some real fall color this yeah. Usually the rains knock all the leaves off before peak season.

WOW if you guys do a meet up in NYC I'd definately go! I live in northern NJ and it's only 40mins on the bus...unless there's traffic. ... XD But yeah if you guys do one in NYC I can go but upstate NY.....no happenin....There's no way for me to get up there...

Hey, my 'rents live in northern NJ and they make me visit them there every couple of months or so. Maybe a cool reason to go to NJ for once.

A local New York party? Well I don't think anything's been arranged. The coordination is greatly lacking. All we have so far is a list of people who want to have a gathering.

I would dig an NYC party, being 45 minutes away by train, I'd even drive upstate NY. But what would we do when we got together? My only experience is the movie and maybe the couple eps I watch on YouTube.

about 40 min from syracuse going east. 2 hrs from albany going west
I am currently located south of albany on a term work position... stayin here just long enough to pay off some debt and start my own business in Rome... in spring 2008.
I'd love to meet some other RB fans. its been a while since I've been on this board but I found it years ago... like 2003... gosh... where has all the time gone?
anyhoo if anything develops I'm down! if noone comes up with anything... maybe I'll be the one who has to plan it...

Oh wow, I was almost out there this year, I was going to come see the 10-foot super-blizzard, but changed my mind because it was so deathly cold I knew that if something happened to my car out there, I would've been in some real trouble.
