| We may be new, but we still get the job done
I've started a list of our achievements as a guild - I hope we can all enjoy seeing this list grow as time goes by

Raiders of The Lost Orc and some friends managed to take down
High Priest Venoxis (snake boss) and High Priestess Jeklik (bat boss) in ZG!
This is first time as a guild, and you can all be very proud of yourself, you all did a fantastic job. Thanks to all who participated

ROTLO & Friends:
ZG - Snake boss downed first go without any deaths! Bat boss taken down on 4th try - extraordinary teamwork shown by all present. Raptor taken to about 35% on first go but we had to abandon due to a shortage of time. Had we been able to try again I believe we'd have taken him.
Another fantastic raid

| Sunday 14th January 2007
ZG - ROTLO and friends
Snake - Down first try, no deaths.
Bat - Down first try, 4 deaths.
Raptor - Down first try, no deaths.
Spider - Down first try, 3 deaths with only 18 people present.
Tiger - On our second try we got him down to 15% in phase 2, with only 18 people present.
Today was really extraordinary, and undoubtedly the best raid I've ever been on. It really was a pleasure to be achieving so much with such great people today Our nemesis the raptor boss was killed on first go and couldn't even claim a single casualty. Compare that to last week
We've moved on astronomically over the past few ZG runs, and have gone from struggling with the 'beginners' side of ZG to starting the 'pro' side now. That tiger boss is bloody hard, and I am amazed that we managed to take him to second phase 15% with only 18 people - this was really something special.
I'm so proud of what we did today - the teamwork was amazing and everyone did exactly what they were asked to. It was really nice using ts too - thanks so much for sorting this out for us Welg
Misstaken - you led us brilliantly, and it really showed in the quality of the run. Thank you so much for your efforts. We couldn't have done it without you
ROTLO members and friends - you roxxxxxxxxxxxx!

| On 16/1/07 ROTLO took two groups into our first instance on Hellfire Penninsula.

Nice start to the Burning Crusade, gratz to all!

| Sunday 4th February
ZG - ROTLO and Friends
First 5 bosses cleared in just over 2.5 hours. No wipes. Panther taken on the second attempt after a short break, and then we moved on to Hakkar.
We gave it a few goes and on the last time got him down to 42% health before he enraged. I for one was bizarrely quite pleased to finally see what this is like, and have a nice screenshot where he hit me for over 22k
As always, brilliant teamwork, brilliant fun, and brilliant leading. Not only from Misstaken this time, but also from Talos.
I eagerly await the next run!
|Posted by: Rahven Feb 5 2007, 08:04 PM|

General Vezax killed, on our second ever try!
Initially we were uncertain that the raid was going to go ahead tonight due to a lack of tanks signed, but Meggido and Paladinshand agreed to test their tanking offspecs and we ventured in to try our group out on Razorscale, Ignis, and then Freya. As all went so well we decided to try General Vezax. Our first try resulted in him being taken to 1/3 health but we wiped due to an unlucky combo of healer death and tank DC. So we tried again, and he died!
Big gratz everyone, it went very smoothly and afterwards we almost also got Yogg-Saron into his second phase!
Massive thanks to all of tonight's raid members, especially our impromptu tanks
12/14 Ulduar 10

15/15 Naxx 25, hooray!
Then, we decided to go to Ulduar 25 and killed not just Flame Leviathan but also Razorscale! He died on our second attempt after an unlucky phase 2 wipe. Our successful kill also netted us the http://www.wowhead.com/?achievement=2921 achievement!
(Apologies for the screenie, I know I cut some of you off )
So 2/14 Ulduar 25 now and next time Ignis dies, after our one attempt on him got him to less than 40%

| Thursday 29th October - Ulduar 10
A big night for the guild tonight. After an unfortunate raid lockout incident and realising that we wouldn't be able to attempt the planned encounters we decided to bite the bullet and give Yogg-Saron a try.
And we killed him!
We learned each phase in turn, getting better and better each time until poor old Yoggy couldn't take any more We killed him with 3.5 minutes to spare and got the http://www.wowhead.com/?achievement=3008 achievement too!
Brilliant work all who were there and big thanks to everyone who helped us clear the instance up to him too.
We have notes on the forum about how we did it, and tips and tricks for the fight so please make sure that if you are planning to come along in future you check it out
So that makes us 13/14 Ulduar 10. Bring on the hardmodes!

| Thursday 19th November 2009
Our first night of proper attempts on Thorim hardmode after almost completing it by accident earlier this week saw a successful take-down!
Unfortunately, I got rather too excited and forgot to take a screenie so until the next time, here's a placeholder of when we killed him on normal
Check out my sig for the achievement
We also moved on to Freya and did the precursor to her hardmode by leaving 2 elders up, earning us the http://www.wowhead.com?achievement=3178. As it turned out, we 9-manned this in the end due to a very early healer death. Bring on 3 elders next time!
Gratz and well done!

Ulduar 10 Hardmodes
Despite raid start being held up we made really good progress tonight!
Our first ever attempt at the Iron Council hardmode (Steelbreaker last) resulted in their demise. One-shot! /flex. Here's a nice picture taken just after the boss despawned
We then moved on to Hodir and downed his hardmode on the first try of the evening!
Afterwards we moved onto Freya to try her 3-elders hardmode. We made very good progress and she should go down next try.
All that's left for us now in Ulduar 10 is Freya HM, Mimi HM, General HM, Yogg HM and Algalon - watch this space!

Our amazing raid progress week was finished up with a kill of Freya Hardmode (3-elders) and the http://www.wowhead.com?achievement=3179 achievement!
So that's 4 new kills this week. Thanks to everyone for a brilliant week, we've really enjoyed ourselves and learned a lot of new tricks!
Ulduar 10 now finished apart from Mimi HM, General HM, Yogg HM and Algalon - we'll bring you news as it happens!

Our first raid to ICC10 resulted in the death of Lord Marrowgar, pre-nerf (so he was hitting as hard as on 25-man!) and with the http://www.wowhead.com?achievement=4534 achievement!
Brilliant work all well done! Big gratz to Sparks and Bastilda on their new ilevel 251 weapons

| 17th December 2009 - ICC 10
On our second foray into ICC 10 we cleared the four available bosses in 2.5 hours, leaving us time to farm trash
That meant the death of Deathbringer Saurfang, who died on the second attempt tonight
ICC10 4/4 - big gratz all!

| On 5th January, having cleared ICC for the week, we ventured into ToTGC and killed the Beasts of Northrend!
|Posted by: Rahven Jan 18 2010, 05:01 PM|
| On Tuesday 12th January we ventured back into ToTGC 10 and took down heroic beasts again but also took Lord Jaraxxus down.
Fizzlebang would be so proud *sniff*.
Nice work all! 2/5 ToTGC now. Next up, Faction Champions? Not for long.....
|Posted by: Rahven Jan 25 2010, 10:39 PM|
| On Thursday 21st January the guild headed into ICC and not only killed our nemesis, Rotface, but downed his equally ugly brother too.
Take that you slimy buggers!
ICC 6/9, Putricide up next - see you again soon
|Posted by: Rahven Jan 31 2010, 11:39 PM|
| On Tuesday 26th January our ToTGC 10 run yielded two new kills:
Faction Champions, downed on our second try of the evening
Twin Val'kyrs who died on our first night of trying them!
So that makes us 4/5 ToTGC.... getting very close now. Had we taken Anub'arak we'd have gained the http://www.wowhead.com?achievement=3808 Achievement too, but alas time overtook us.
He dies next time tho /flex

| Sunday 31st January - ICC 10
Tonight after starting to make some progress on Professor Putricide but then using up our tries, we decided to go and give Blood Princes a try.
At first the fight seemed very hard, yet after accidentally coming up with a new tactic due to someone dying, we killed them! 9-man too since Thandarass was busy cleaning the floor with his face.
ICC 10 7/9 now! Putri's days are numbered, as are the Blood Queen's. See you again soon!
|Posted by: Rahven Feb 14 2010, 11:02 PM|
| Good News Everybody!! (thanks Rommy!)
Putricide died at our hands tonight
The old bugger died within 90 minutes of us beginning to try him tonight, and when we killed him all ten raiders were still alive!
So that leave us at 8/12 ICC 10. Watch this space for Blood Queen and Dreamwalker
|Posted by: Rahven Feb 27 2010, 10:18 AM|
| Tuesday 23rd February - ToTGC10
We finally downed Anub'arak on hardmode! not only that but we did it with 36 attempts remaining which meant we earned the http://www.wowhead.com?achievement=3808 achievement
It was a great evening, well done everyone!
Next time we'll be going for the http://www.wowhead.com?achievement=3809 achievement, so watch this space.
For now though, 5/5 ToTGC

| Sunday 28th February - ICC 10
On 28th February we headed into ICC again and took down everyone's favorite vampire boss, Blood Queen Lana'thel. Once discovering that the key for us to sirvive the second air phase was delaying the bites slightly, and learning to breathe it actually seemed simple. Of course that didn't mean the screams of triumph were any less than usual on VC
So that left us at 9/12 ICC 10.....
|Posted by: Rahven Mar 9 2010, 01:07 AM|
| Sunday 7th March - ICC 10
On Sunday 7th March we had our first researched attempts on Valithria Dreamwalker, and completed the encounter on the second go! We used three healers, two on the dragon only and one for the raid. Thanks to the great tanking and DPS we found this setup worked well for us and allowed Pala and Sera to go nuts on Dreamwalker
This, of course, meant that we could move onto Sindragosa who we got to the third phase on our second attempt. A few more attempts saw us run out of time with a best effort of 21% left on the boss. Now we have a refined tactic that works for us it's just a matter of time until she's down too.
And that leaves us at 10/12 ICC 10 folks! Great work to all who've been raiding recently and who've helped us along the way to this point. Only ~1.2 bosses left in ICC now
|Posted by: Rahven May 2 2010, 09:20 PM|
| Sunday 2nd May - ICC 10
And then finally, on this day we laid waste to the dragon we had come to know by a thousand swearwords.... Sindragosa.
We had a great team who were all both skilled and committed and in the end, she just couldn't beat that.
With wipes of 19%, 16%, 13%, 14%, 18% and then a horrifying 3% we knew we had it in us, so we took a deep breath, focussed and her death was our reward. Well that and the chance to see the Lich King for real!
We had 3 tries on LK, with our second taking him to 69%. Watch this space for further news! Logs at http://www.worldoflogs.com/guilds/17011/
ICC 10 11/12 - what a brilliant raid, well done!!
|Posted by: Rahven Jun 21 2010, 10:05 AM|
| Sunday 20th June - ICC 10
Last night saw the reward for months of tireless work from all of our raiders, as Raiders of the Lost Orc downed the Lich King. We did it on the 6th try of the night after an agonisingly close wipe a few attempts before - we must have had a few k left to take him to 10%! - and we did it wearing 10-man gear. This made us the first guild on the server to do so, and took us to 58th strict 10-man EU guild for progress. The achievements we popped for doing this took us to 43rd EU guild, and to an amazing 104th in the world.
We are incredibly proud of this achievement and would like to thank everyone who was present not only in this raid, but in all previous raids, helping us to prepare for this epic encounter. We'd also like to thank those who haven't raided with us but have provided moral support, cheered us on, provided mats for fish feasts... the list really is endless.
So that leaves us with ICC 10 cleared. Watch this space for news of our progress on the heroic modes
|Posted by: Rahven Jul 2 2010, 08:09 AM|
| Thursday 1st July - ICC 10 heroic
Our first voyage into ICC 10 with mains went pretty well and resulted in a kill of heroic Lady Deathwhisper! We managed to down her on our 5th attempt after having some add problems. At this time we were still 10-man strict too, which meant that our rankings went to:
Here's our smug shot
We then moved onto Gunship, but as that's not really any different to normal mode we decided not to take a screenie
So, that's us at ICC HC 2/12 and all in all a thoroughly enjoyable raid. See you next time for some more heroic action!

| Saturday 3rd July
Our first run into the Ruby Sanctum resulted in Halion's death, yay us!

| On Sunday 11th July, we headed back into ICC for hardmodes with a somewhat unconventional group. No mainspec tanks and only two mainspec healers. Still we gave it a go.
We took down Deathwhisper on heroic again, Gunship (ofc) and we claimed our first kill of heroic Rotface! Not only that but we 3-shotted him. Here's a pic, tho I'm afraid in the excitement I didn't manage to take it before the corpse despawned. Suv makes a good stand-in tho...
Heroic ICC 10 3/12, stay tuned for more adventures in the near future!
|Posted by: Rahven Jul 13 2010, 09:41 PM|
| On Tuesday 13th July we downed Blood Queen Lana'thel on heroic 10-man!
One of our first few tries saw an agonising 4% wipe, then 2% and we knew we could do it. It was a pretty tough fight but we did it, and we did it without heroism and without a main spec tank
So that means we're now 4/12 ICC 10 heroic!
It also meant that we made it into the top 120 guilds in the world
|Posted by: Rahven Jul 15 2010, 09:26 PM|
| Thursday 15th July - ICC 10 heroics
Another visit to ICC heroics and we walked away with not one, but two new kills!
After Cass found an alternate strategy for Lord Marrowgar we gave it a try and refined it a bit before it led us to victory!
We then 1-shotted Deathwhisper heroic and lolship heroic, had a few goes at Saurfang but decided to do him on normal due to the lack of ranged classes we had, 1-shotted Rotface heroic and moved on to our first tries at Festergut heroic. Oh, and killed him on our second try
Well done everyone! Big thanks to all, especially those who came along and helped out at short notice or in offspecs etc.
ICC 10 Heroic 6/12!
|Posted by: Rahven Jul 28 2010, 09:40 AM|
| Tuesday 28th July - ICC Heroics
We headed back into ICC this week after a small break due to raiders being unavailable etc.
We got our second kill of Marrowgar hc, then did Deathwhisper and Gunship hcs before moving on to Deathbringer Saurfang. Jeko kindly went boomkin for us, meaning that for the first time we had 3 ranged DPS for the fight. A couple of tries later and we claimed our first kill, also getting us the http://www.wowhead.com?achievement=4628 achievement.
Spirits lifted by this, we moved on and killed Festergut and Rotface on heroic before moving on to give Blood Princes heroic our attention. It took us a try to get used to the Shadow Prism dynamic of the fight (added on heroic) but then second try they were down! This got us another achievement, http://www.wowhead.com?achievement=4630.
We then moved on and downed Blood Queen heroic again. Meaning we'd downed 8 heroic bosses with 2 new kills in 3 hours. We're pretty pleased with that! It also meant that we moved firmly into the top 100 guilds in the world for strict 10-man progress, and into the top 40 for EU guilds.
Well done everyone! Big thanks to those who were there and those who weren't there but have helped in their own ways As always, the logs can be found http://www.worldoflogs.com/guilds/17011/.
ICC 10 Heroic 8/12!
|Posted by: Rahven Aug 26 2010, 09:27 PM|
| Thursday 5th August - ICC 10 Heroic
On this date we 'upped' Valithria Dreamwalker for the first time!
This took us to 83rd in the world for strict 10-man progress.
This was the last progress kill we made as a strict 10-man guild and the highest position we achieved. It is also something we are incredibly proud of.
Thank you to everyone who came along on this fantastic and exciting journey with us. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did
|Posted by: Rahven Jan 31 2011, 03:57 PM|
| On 8th January we killed our first Cataclysm raid boss, Argaloth!
Yes, predictably in the excitement a picture may have been forgotten.... Thanks to all who came along. Here's some interspecies erotica to enjoy in the meantime.
30th January saw the guild hit level 13. Unlucky for some but definitely not for us
More news here soon!

We took down the wormy bastard Magmaw!
Well done all and big gratz especially to Suvvy on his http://www.wowhead.com?item=59329 and to Fiz on his http://www.wowhead.com?item=59336.
We moved onto the Omnitron Defence System and made some good progress including a 1% wipe....... They die next time!

| Tuesday 8th February
We headed back into BWD to avenge our 1% wipe, and boy did we manage it.
(For those that are wondering, yes we totally managed to grab a screenie of the kill before everyone ran away. We totally did not have to mock one up afterwards. How dare you)
Not only that but we headed into Bastion of Twilight for the first time and ended up killing Halfus Wyrmbreaker on our 5th ever attempt.
Logs at http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/yx6jwpocrpo7q7fb/ - congrats to Suvvy for ranking on world of logs for his DPS on Omnitron!
RoTLO 3/12 /flex!
|Posted by: Rahven Feb 21 2011, 01:09 PM|
| Doh, late update!
15th Feb we downed Valiona and Theralion in BoT Oh, on our 6th attempt too.
This leaves us at 4/12, with more on the way!
|Posted by: Rahven Feb 24 2011, 09:01 PM|
| On Tuesday 22nd Feb a visit to BWD was rewarded with our first Maloriak kill!
Take that you ugly man/woman/thing!
|Posted by: Rahven Mar 2 2011, 08:15 AM|
| 1st March saw us head back into the fray.
First off we beat up a disabled dragon. Yes, Atramedes down!
Then we headed over to the Throne of the Four Winds for the first time and downed Conclave of Wind on our first night of trying. More specifically, our 6th attempt!
So that's us at 7/12 now, nice going chaps.
Special mention for Thandaras, who ranked 27th in the world for Feral DPS on the Conclave normal fight!
|Posted by: Rahven May 30 2011, 09:51 PM|
| Monday 30th May - BWD
After a bit of a break from serious raiding we headed back into BWD to give Chimaeron a bit of a slapping about, and ended up downing him for the first time:
- On the second pull of the night
- With the achievement, http://www.wowhead.com?achievement=5309
We headed to Ascendent Council next and gave it a couple of tries, with 19% being our best so far. Next time you buggers, next time!
8/12, well done chaps
|Posted by: Rahven Jun 6 2011, 09:44 PM|
| Monday 6th June - BoT
Oh yeah! We went back to give Twilight Council a kicking and did just that.
They are so down.
9/12 and making good progress the last few weeks. We also had 3 attempts on Cho'gall and got him to 30% on the last one, which was pretty good considering we'd not researched the fight before the raid. Pretty sure we'll have news on that for you very soon!
|Posted by: Rahven Aug 1 2011, 03:03 PM|
| Monday 13th June - BoT
BoT cleared with our first kill of Cho'gall!
The adds proved our toughest challenge but thankfully our wonderful ranged DPS took care of them pretty good.
10/12! That's our first end boss of Cataclysm down and was our last before patch 4.2, which nerfed the content. We'd have liked a few more weeks to take Al'akir and Nefarian but are very happy with what we achieved. Go RoTLO!
|Posted by: Rahven Aug 1 2011, 03:17 PM|
| Monday 18th July - ToTFW & BWD
After a few Firelands trash runs and Shannox attempts keeping us busy we decided to head back to the older content and finish it off.
First up was Al'akir, who was so unbelievably easy after the nerf the shock made us forget to take a pic Here's a consolation screenie:
So Al'akir was down on the first attempt post-patch. Pretty frustrating as we'd started coming close before the patch and the whole fight was then trivialised. Oh well, we moved onto Nefarian and we'd not attempted him at all before...
It was still a tricky but very fun fight that required a few attempts to master. Props to those who downed him pre-patch
So that was us finished on the old content. Thanks for coming along for the ride chaps, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did Keep your eyes open for Firelands news soon - at the time of writing we have Shannox to an agonising 1% so it won't be long now!
|Posted by: Rahven Aug 4 2011, 09:19 PM|
| Thursday 4th August - Firelands
We went back into Firelands tonight with a couple of new people and a fresh idea for tactics. It worked a treat and we downed Shannox on the second try of the night. It actually felt easy /doh
First Firelands kill, and very satisfying, especially for a certain gnum who cleaned house.
|Posted by: Rahven Aug 16 2011, 02:16 PM|
| Monday 8th August - Firelands
We headed back into Firelands still buzzing from our Shannox kill and ended up coming away with our first Beth'tilac kill! Once we knew what we were doing it was 9 wipes to learn and perfect and one to kill that spidery ass.
2/7 Firelands, go go RotLO!
|Posted by: Rahven Aug 27 2011, 11:28 AM|
| Thursday 18th August - Firelands
Firelands was kind to us this week. Thursday saw us down Lord Ryolith for the first time:
This was a fun fight that took us a surprisingly small amount of time to get used to and we killed him on our 12th pull.
Then on the Tuesday of the same raiding week (23rd August) we downed Baleroc for the first time:
Another very fun fight, quite manic but our DPS managed to keep their order on the shard very well and we got the kill. Our kill was on attempt 8
|Posted by: Rahven Oct 7 2011, 11:25 AM|
| Thursday 6th October - Firelands
After a few weeks of RL taking us away from raiding we headed back into Firelands with the goal of downing Alysrazor.
We bumped off the easy bosses pretty quickly then set to work on the firey bugger. It took a few attempts to refine our technique but we could see we were making progress and sure enough, Alysrazor went down.
No mount though, bastard!
We had 20 minutes of raid time left so went to get some practice attempts on Majordomo. Or so we thought.
Our first attempt on Majordomo, with none of us really knowing what was going on, we got him to 50%. So we stayed a few minutes late and had a second attempt, which turned out to be a kill. Yep, second attempt
So we stand at 6/7 Firelands now. Just Raggy to go! Expect news soon.
Our thanks to all who have helped us get this far, and big love to Dani for last night
|Posted by: Rahven Nov 23 2011, 05:43 PM|
| Sunday 20th November - Firelands
After a few nights on Raggy to get our technique down we headed back in on Sunday and downed him first time.
Well done team and thanks to all who helped to get us here
7/7 Firelands, yay!

Monday 5th December
Tonight was our first Dragon Soul raid of the patch. We headed in and downed Morchok on the first pull.
Then we took down Yor'sahj the Unsleeping on the second pull.
Next up was Warlord Zon'ozz who was a little trickier but still died on pull 7.
Then last up for the night was Hagara the Stormbinder who died on pull 3.
Nice first night for RoTLO in DS! 4/8
|Posted by: Rahven Dec 18 2011, 05:18 PM|
| Thursday 15th December - Dragon Soul
We headed back into Dragon Soul tonight and took down Ultraxion! /flex
Ultraxion took us a little longer to learn but once we got our tactic down it was only a matter of time.
So that's us at 5/8 - more news here soon

Tuesday 10th January - Dragon Soul
Warmaster Blackhorn downed!
Monday 23rd January - Dragon Soul
Spine of Deathwing downed!
Monday 13th February - Dragon Soul
Madness of Deathwing downed, on the first try of the evening, very casually! This was our 23rd overall try and everything just clicked into place.
And with that, we finished Dragon Soul! Go go RoTLO!

RoTLO downed our first heroic DS boss with a kill of Morchok!
Thursday 22nd March - Dragon Soul Heroic
Our second heroic boss kill followed with a downing of Ultraxion. We killed him on our 9th pull.
Not bad, eh?
Watch this space for more kills soon. For the time being, RoTLO, 2/8 heroic

Monday 8th October 2012 - Mogu'shan Vaults
RoTLO's first MoP boss kill came tonight with a downing of The Stone Guards
Our first kill within the first week of the instance being open /flex
We got in a few pulls on Feng before the end of the raid - expect to see him downed very soon!
|Posted by: Rahven Oct 22 2012, 10:10 PM|

Mogu'shan Vaults - Feng the Accursed
Tonight we headed back into MV and downed the Stone Guard for the third time then took out Feng!
|Posted by: Rahven Oct 29 2012, 10:39 PM|
| Monday 29th October
Continuing the Monday tradition, we kicked some butt in MV this week. We claimed our first kill of Gara'jal the Spiritbinder, thanks to some great DPS and fantastic healing by Zank and Tuff
Oh, those skeletons were already there when we got there...... Yup.
Then we moved on to have a bash at The Spirit Kings, killing them on lucky pull 13, but more than that. In another RoTLO tradition we downed them on the very last try of the night. Wheeeeeee!
That puts us very nicely at 4/6 now. A great week of progress!

| Thursday 15th November 2012
Heart of Fear
On our second venture into Heart of Fear, the consolidated learning from Monday made Imperial Vizier Zor'lok seem bizarrely easy and we downed him for the first time on our second pull of the night, and Suvvy didn't even die. What a fun fight!
In the meantime, that was us at 5/12 and 19th on the server for progress. Watch this space for more Heart of Fear and MV progress.
|Posted by: Rahven Dec 11 2012, 08:52 PM|
| Monday 3rd December - Heart of Fear
After a few weeks of attempts on Blade Lord Tay'ak, a lot of talking, research, refining and having all raid members look at setting a spec exactly for this fight, we downed him.
An extremely satisfying kill if ever there was one, and a great credit to the minds in this guild.
This left us at 6/16 and raring to go on Elegon.
|Posted by: Rahven Dec 11 2012, 09:01 PM|
| Monday 10th December - Mogu'shan Vaults
After a blistering raid on Thursday which saw us down all of the content we'd killed so far (6 bosses) in 3 hours, we headed back to MV to put in some time on Elegon.
At first it seemed more difficult than our tries the previous week but after a while we got into a rhythm, minimised the damage we were taking and got to phase 3 consistently and then downed him.
Very happy with our progress we moved onto Will of the Emperor for our last hour. On pull six we downed the encounter. Last try of the night. RoTLO style.
Another fantastic night and some great work from our guildies. We're now at 8/16 with MV finished, and 20th on the server.
Go go RoTLO - watch this space for news on Garalon soon
|Posted by: Rahven Dec 21 2012, 06:27 PM|
| Thursday 20th December - Heart of Fear
Knowing that'd we'd only have one raid this week because of darned Christmas, we decided to try and make it count by heading straight to HoF. We dispatched the first two bosses quickly and faced up to Garalon. We tried a few different combinations of kiters and extra DPS tactics and found one that worked for us, resulting in a kill on our 23rd attempt on this boss (ever, not on this one night!).
Unfortunately, two of our members had fecked off before taking this. What's the big hurry? Just enjoy the kill, jeez.
Afterwards we still had time to run back to MV and kill 4 bosses /flex
So this kill leaves us at 9/16 for the tier and 18th on server. Not bad for a guild that only raids twice a week, eh?
|Posted by: Rahven Jan 7 2013, 11:35 PM|
| Monday 7th January 2013 - Heart of Fear
We doubled-up on HoF (dropping MV) for the first time this week to see if we could get a new kill.
It was very close (I think we got this 4 seconds after the enrage timer) and it stretched us, but we got it.
Wind Lord, down.
That takes us to 10/16 T14, and 17th guild on server!
|Posted by: Rahven Jan 10 2013, 10:20 PM|
| Thursday 10th January 2013
We lacked a raider tonight, so rather than cancel the raid we thought we'd see what we could do with 9 people, and two newly specced tanks. The answer:
9-man Stone Guard
9-man Feng the Accursed
9-man Spirit Kings
9-man Imperial Vizior
9-man Blade Lord
Also, thanks to all who came along, I had a lot of fun
|Posted by: Rahven Feb 7 2013, 10:56 PM|
| Thursday 7th February
Heart of Fear
We decided to extend our raid lockout this week for the first time, to try and down Amber Shaper. We managed it on the first raid of the week
So now we're standing before the Empress, at 11/16 and 19th guild on the server. Here's to another kill soon!
|Posted by: Rahven Feb 16 2013, 03:45 PM|
| Monday 11th February 2013 was a pretty good day for Raiders of the Lost Orc.
Heart of Fear
After a collaborative effort of people working on their gear and tactics (huge thanks to those who contributed to the discussion on the forum), we downed Grand Empress on our 10th pull of the night. Once we managed to get through the other side of P2 with everyone intact we knew it was possible and it was just about clinging on until the bitter end, which turned out to be very sweet.
So there we stood, Heart of Fear completed, with just over an hour of raid time left.
We headed to Terrace of Endless Spring:
The protectors were our first foe and they lay dead at the end of our second pull.
Next up we took a shot at Tsulong. He was marginally more challenging but still lay dead at the end of pull three.
So we went from 11/16 to 14/16 within three hours! No time was left to attempt Lei Shi (our favorite RF boss) so watch out for that next week

We started a fresh run tonight and decided to give elite protectors a bash. Well it's easy to see why they aren't considered THAT elite - they were down on the third try. Afterwards, we killed Tsulong and then moved onto our bestest bud Lei Shi.....
Thankfully it didn't take long and once we sorted out how to deal with the elementals we downed her on the 11th attempt.
15/16 and only Sha left!

Terrace of Endless Spring
Another fresh run and we burned right through to Sha. We struggled with the platforms at first but then everything suddenly fell into place and we killed him, on our 7th ever pull.
And there we are, all normal mode content down! See you next week for heroic modes.
Well done all and thanks to everyone who supported us on this journey - you know who you are

Throne of Thunder
Our first run into the new instance was fruitful with a kill of Jin'rokh the Breaker. Had my logs been working I could have told you exactly but I think we killed him on pull 6 or 7.
We moved onto Horridon and got onto gate 3 so expect some more news soon..
For now, RoTLO 1/12 ToT and 10th on server.

Throne of Thunder
After more attempts than we would have liked, and some experimentation with tactics, we finally downed the beast that is Horridon.
As a reward for our efforts he dropped the Thunderforged spirit ring (gratz Alkaid!).
A big thanks to those who helped us get to this point.

Throne of Thunder
After a few weeks of work, adjustments and research we found a strat that worked for us and refined it til we downed the bastards that are Council of Elders.
Huge thanks to all who spent the time to research tacs and work hard on their gear to get us this kill

Throne of Thunder
After deciding to start the raid a little late due to raider availability, we went back to put some time in on Tortos. It was as if someone had flicked a switch since we last were in the instance, and we downed him (her? it?) on just the second try of the night in a perfect attempt without any casualties.

Throne of Thunder
After a few raids of farm content and a number of attempts on the next boss, we headed back in for a farm raid and ended up at Megaera very quickly. After walking over the other bosses, we downed Megaera for the first time on our 20th ever pull.
Since we'd done all of this and still had time to spare, we moved onto Ji-Kun and put in 3 attempts, the best taking us to around 50% so expect to see news soon!
ToT 5/12 - almost halfway!

Throne of Thunder
We had kind of a good raid this week. Monday saw us get our first kill of Ji-Kun, which we bagged on our 8th ever attempt.
Buoyed by this, we moved on to slap Durumu around a bit. He didn't prove to be much of a challenge, and died on our 7th go.
Two new bosses down, not bad! Moving on, we went to try Primordius. Without expecting too much, we threw ourselves into it and he died, on our SECOND pull.
Yep, three new boss kills in one night. Epic.

Throne of Thunder
So after a while of struggling over summer with 8/9 signups, we finally got a raid with 10 people After being so close to downing Dark Animus with 9 people, it was little surprise that we downed him on our first try with a full team. Well, Joe solo'd him really.
Then we headed over to Iron Qon for our first attempts. He died on pull 16:
Two attempts on Twin Consorts saw us get within a few percent of a kill. Next time!
After a lot of pain - RoTLO 10/12 ToT

| Thursday 5th September 2013 - Throne of Thunder
We got yet another raid with 10 people, and Twin Consorts bit the dust on our first pull of the night, and third ever pull.
We are in the last week of the Tier. All that's left is Lei Shen. We had 17 attempts and got to 30%. We have two more raids to go. Wish us luck

Well we did it - Tier finished.
Lei Shen didn't take long on our second night, and died on the third pull of the evening (20th in total).
Huge thanks to those who signed up to make it possible. And to those who stuck with us through this tier. We're really pleased to have pulled this off in the nick of time!
See you for Siege of Orgrimmar

New tier! Woo!
Our first raid in SoO was pretty good. We had some new people, and an offspec tank, and we did great.
First up, Immerseus, who died within the first hour. Oh and 7th kill on the server!
That was pretty awesome, and spurred us on to contend with the Fallen Protectors who from the first few pulls seemed impossible (to heal at least). But we learned, adjusted, and steadily improved leading to a kill 8th kill on the server.
We put in some pulls on Norushen and he looks like he won't last too long either.
RoTLO 2/14 SoO and loving it!

| Monday 30th September - Siege of Orgrimmar
Monday was a pretty great day and saw us down Norushen after a gear boost from Flex. In fact he died on the first pull of the week.
So we decided to head to Sha of Pride for a few pulls. Our first pull was scuppered somewhat due to dc problems. However the second (ever) pull was smooth and resulted in a kill. 2-shotted!
So that takes us to 4/14 in SoO. Next up is Galakras so watch this space for news!

| Monday 7th October - Siege of Orgrimmar
We set a blistering pace on this raid, with all farm content down within 45 minutes, giving us lots of time to work on progress. Galakras was up first, and everything fell into place - we killed her (him, it?) on the first try of the night (our 11th try on this boss).
Buoyed up by this we headed to Iron Juggernaut and very nearly killed him on the first pull. In the end we 5-shot him. Here's a pic of us having a lil' cuddle with his corpse.
With time to spare we went onto the Dark Shammies and got them down to 11% before running out of time. They'll die next week for sure!

| Thursday 10th October - Siege of Orgrimmar
After the reset we blazed through the farm content so quickly that we ended up downing a progress boss on the first night. Kor'kron Dark Shaman died on our 10th ever pull.
RoTLO 7/14 and halfway.

| Monday 14th October - Siege of Orgrimmar
Our progress night saw us start off at General Nazgrim. He's strangely a lot easier without LFR derps hitting him during defensive stance. The ol' General died on our third ever pull.
Having downed him, we headed to Malkorok to slap him about a bit. He turned out to be about as easy as he is on flex, and we 4-shot him.
Two pulls on Spoils saw us get close, so expect some news on that soon. For now, RoTLO are 9/14!

| Monday 21st October - Siege of Orgrimmar
A week after our latest progress kill comes the next one - Spoils of Pandaria. Shez managed to drag through the side with the offspec DPS *whistle* and we made it on our 9th total try.
Next up was Thok, who we have to 20%. He looks like he's going to be a great fight
For now, RoTLO, 10/14 SoO

| Monday 4th November - Siege of Orgrimmar
The two weeks since downing Spoils was filled with farming and Thok attempts. We downed him on 4th November after some great refinements on our 25th ever pull.
This saw RoTLO at 11/14 SoO.

| Monday 11th November - Siege of Orgrimmar
Progress kills. They're like buses, aren't they? Except they smell better.
Back to the grind we headed over for some more pulls on Blackfuse and he fell over on try 22.
So with some time left we headed over to Paragons of infinite-abilities. All that prep paid off...... Well actually it felt like we didn't really need it in the end, as they died on our 4th ever pull. That's right. Despite hardly wiping we still managed to get some skeletons in the killshot.
So we suddenly found ourselves at 13/14 SoO. Time to extend the lockout? Oh yes...
Wish us luck!

Two weeks and 78 pulls saw a lot of refinements, some great ideas for adjustments to our tactic and some very hard work. It paid off and we downed Garrosh.
A huge thank you to those of you who worked so hard for this kill, both in terms of improving your own game and helping out with ideas and adjustments.
