Name: Andrina Vegas Harter.
Age: Twenty-two.
Species: Human.
Title: --

Vampires Only:
Soudre de Sang: --
Sire: --
Gifts Taken from the Soudre: --

Eye Color: Honey brown.
Hair Color: Yellow-blonde.
Distinguishing Marks: She has a splash of freckles, but nothing more.
Appearence: Andrina was never much for looks, often not caring for her hair and letting it grow and collect the odd assortment of split ends before chopping it off in uneven patterns. And so, she has been known to be seen with choppy hair and bangs just long enough to disappear into the rest of her hair. Her eyes have a very light brown color - like honey - and though she won't admit it, they are probably her nicest feature. Often eating like a starved pig, her metabolism is rather high and thus she is neither large nor small, but somewhere in between. Just right, if you will. Often dressed in what she considered 'fashionable', she prefers the capri-cut pants, boots and loose fitted shirts.

Occupation: Dancer at Guilty Pleasures.
Likes: Coffee, silence, lack of people, learning, dancing, & people she can trust.
Dislikes: The prenatural, boredom, her life, America, & liars.
Loyalties: She works alongside the vampires, so her loyalties lie with the Master Vampire, I believe. Despite the fact that she doesn't much approve of it.

Abilties/Powers: She doesn't have anything that's not natural for a human to have.
Affiliation: Nope.

History/Past: Born in the heart of England, Andrina Harter came screaming into the arms of her loving mother and only parent, Vegas Larson, a 19-year-old who'd made bad decisions in the previous nine months. It had never occured to Andrina that she didn't have a father, that her mother was never married, and that they were only separated by nineteen measly years until Andrina turned ten. It was a few days after she'd recieved news that they were moving to St. Louis that her mother pulled her aside, sat her down and explained everything to her daughter.

From her lack of ability to control her hormones, to the mistake that turned out to be a wonderful gift - Andrina, to her 'baby's father' leaving town soon after discovering that Vegas was having a child, to how she fought herself over abortion and the like before deciding that she was bringing Andrina Harter into the world and into her life.

In awe at all this newfound news on her mother's history, Andrina vowed to never do anything wrong - especially something like her mother had soon after leaving school. So, soon after gathering all this information, she went into her room, and organized everything. Which soon became the birth of 'UBER SMART ANDRINA'. Well, she'd always been smart, but now she was actually paying attention to it and using it to her advantage. As soon as September came around, Andrina was ready to move to St. Louis with her mother and start a new life.

Her first year was more than a blur in her life, chopping up between people talking to her out of nowhere, to being too short to see things she'd like to have, to classes, homework and the notion that she was in the most vampire-populated city. Her second year, of course, seemed a bit more relaxed, as Andrina was much more used to the fastpaced classes, homework, sleep time-table - it was then that she realized how many people were in St. Louis, too. MILLIONS of them, not counting the vampires, werewolves and other prenatural 'creatures' - oh no, there seemed to be too much for the young girl to grasp. Her little down in England had always seemed so... small. And the new addition of prenatural beings just added to the small girl's fears.

Over the next ten years, Andrina slowly grew to appriciate where she lived. Her mother had died young; drug overdose; and had left Andrina with the apartment. She needed something, anything, to keep herself from turning into some bum on the street. The nightlife that lived on near The Circus of the Damned attracted the girl's attention long before she realized exactly what the place was... a vampire haven. It was enough to send the girl dashing from the street only to be stopped by one of... them. Unable to do anything due to her freeze-up, Andrina allowed this... thing to pursuade her to go back. And back she went, all the way up the steps and into Guilty Pleasures. Nowadays, she still hates those vampiric freaks, but she's not enough to stand up to them or anyone who supports them... perhaps deep down she wants to be one of them?
Example Post: [From an old site I was a member of, if that's okay?]
Laini Teplier hugged her Potions textbook tightly against her jumper-clad chest. Her emerald eyes scanned the floor as she ran down the hall, cloak floating in her wake. She wasn't about to run into anyone, or so she hoped not. Her small frame skidded around a corner, shoes scraping against the gray concrete.

She needn't be late for her first day at Potions this year; it would be a terrible start, especially with the new professor. Ever since Snape had switched teaching jobs and left Slughorn to his job, Laini had been doing worse and worse in that class. Sure, she wasn't the biggest fan of Snape, the git, but she loved how he taught. It was always strict and straightforward and he knew what he was doing, but Slughorn, oh no, he was more on the humorous side, as if Potions were to be fun.

Laini knew Potions were defiantly not to be made into fun; it was a serious art of mixing the right ingredients at the right time with exact measurements. And then the beautiful result of perfection in color, smell and product. Ah, how Laini adored that class. If only Professor Snape hadn't left the school for reasons unknown, she pondered if she could have been the one to convince him to come back to his original position. Her shoes skidded around yet another corner as she dashed past the suits of armor and statues and portraits lining the corridors. She wasn't going to be late, she wasn't going to get house points taken and she wasn't going to dwell on what-ifs. Not like her mum had for the past six years. No way.

She had a ways to go before she'd be at Potions class and already the first warning bell had gone off, killing her ears in the process. Oi, how fretful it would be to embarrass herself in front of all the students already seated. She would just die if she were to walk in late and have the faces of everyone turn and stare at her as if she were some random sideshow freak. Her heart was pounding at the though, Laini dreaded embarrassment and being stared at. She couldn't handle that kind of stuff, seemingly being the center of everyone's attention, especially if there were people who didn't like her. Ah, the horror of being laughed at.

Cheeks flushing with the thought, she sped up her swift pace, shoulder slamming into a passing person as she went and her Potions book flew from her grip, opening and landing spread on the floor, the corners of the pages bent. No, this was not her day. She scurried towards it; gathering her notes that she'd shoved into the book earlier and putting them back. Quickly attempting to bend the pages right, she looked up to see the persons she'd run into dashing off without so much as an apology. Scarlet hemming of the cloaked person caught Laini's emerald eyes.

"Stupid Gryffindors.." She muttered, "Watch where you're going!" She screamed after them, scooping the book back into her pale arms and standing swiftly.

She was defiantly late, defiantly facing a weeks detention and maybe even the lose of house points. She was such a terrible child in her own eyes and knew if she had been late for something her parents had put together... oi, she couldn't imagine it. Their disapproving stares, her father looking down on her with condescending eyes, her mother clicking her tongue and pulling hairs. And all the people she might disappoint. Laini fell into a bought of depression at that thought, but this wasn't her parents she'd be facing. Her parents weren't even together any longer, she was facing a Professor. A new, strict, professor who didn't take things as serious as she'd have liked. Oh, life just wasn't fair. She dashed off quickly, praying to get there in time. No more time for daydreams and fantasies. No more time for dwelling on the past. No more time for... turning into a replica of her disastrous mother.

Accueil!

Welcome to the boards.
I much like your character, she seems quite fun! She and JC must RP sometime wink.gif
The only thing, is that she can't be a dancer at Guilty Pleasures. Only lycanthropes and vampires can dance there. Do you have anything else in mind?

Also, please post an avatar claim for Gemma Ward if you wish to keep her for your avatar in the avatar claim. Welcome, and spread the word wink.gif

Yeah, I actually thought about that vampire/lycan thing with Guilty Pleasures when I went back to read CS last night.

I actually don't have anything else in mind, I can't even recall if there are places for humans to 'work' in the backstreets where the vampires roam...

I'll get back to you. xD
