The Rocks The dual limestone monoliths stand atop the peak of the hill and serve as social hub, shelter and the node of power for the shifters who reside beneath the arch of the stones.

Tuauri Creek The clear mountain stream that runs in the cleft between the shifters' hill and the next biggest one to the south lies about 100 yards from the Rocks, though they can hardly be seen by the thick trees that cover this part of the hill. There are two worn paths between the Rocks and Tuauri, with the longer one being the more scenic.

Motueka River About 500 yards from the Rocks, and down the grassy slope of the hill, the Motueka rolls steadily into the sea. It is a wide, slow river here, not terribly deep. The fishing is better the farther upstream you go, but this part of the Motueka is great for a swim or a bath.

The Mountains The ridge of peaks that separate the river valley of the shifters from the town of Motueka are tall and proud, icy at the summit and heavily forested below. There is footpath several miles long that leads to the outskirts of town, as well as several animal trails.
