General Board Etiquette NO CONTENT FROM BIG PURPLE DREAMS MAY BE REPRODUCED IN ANY FORM WITHOUT PERMISSION.
- First and foremost: Bashing, or any disparaging, of Crystal, Jessica or Jacqueline, other actors, writers or staff on Guiding Light, Venice, Days Of Our Lives or fellow board members is not tolerated. Ever. Just ask yourself, "Is this something I'd want said about me?" "Would I say that to the person's face?" If the answer is "no" then don't post it. Remember, these are people who could perhaps visit our board and their feelings are just as important as our own. Critiques of a performance are fine, however.
- Negative posting, simply for the sake of being negative, is grounds to get immediately banned. Just don't do it. If you do not have a single contructive thing to say then don't say anything.
- Homophobia in any shape or form will not be tolerated; whether explicit or implicit, blatant or implied. Homophobic comments are grounds for immediate removal from the board.
- Please be respectful of the personal lives of the actresses and fellow board members.
- Don't bash other fanbases.
- Respect the opinions of fellow Otalia fans. Feel free to disagree, but don't make it personal
- Remember that TPTB (writers, producers and higher-ups) are all real people too. Constructive criticism is welcome.
- Character bashing is fine as long as it is done with humorous/snarky intent and respect for those who like the character.
- Posting links, clips and videos of any television show before it has aired in all of it's markets is not allowed.
- Uploading, downloading and posting links to obtain pirated movies is illegal and not allowed on the BPD board.
The original post containing any of the above and all references to it will be deleted.
- DO NOT POST IN ALL CAPS. Not unless you intend to scream.
- Please try to avoid profane language if at all possible; we realize it won't always be. Language you hear on daytime television is acceptable, but remember that some people of all ages and sensibilities read this board.. Use your common sense.
- Please post your comments in an existing thread about the same topic instead of starting a new post for everything you have to say. This consolidates space and keeps the board clean.
- When posting in a thread, be sure you are up to date and have read the thread entirely, or at least the posts from the last 24 hours. This will ensure that poster B won't ask a question that has already been answered by poster A a few pages back in the thread.
- Avoid posting just to say "Me too" or "Yeah, that", unless you have something new to add to the subject. It's tiring to click on a thread that has been posted in only to see someone had just posted "Me too". Post as much as you want but no one wants to scroll through a 5-page thread and read a total of 25 words. Please say something in your posts. We reserve the right to delete posts that contain only one word.
- Last but not last these rules will be ever changing. We are a work in process and admin may change, add to or delete from this list at any time.
