What started as a major rebuild ended up being a retool for the Canadains.
We now intend to be competative while continueing to bring in young talent and give them the time to develope.Heres a look at the new players in Montreal.
FW:
Brett Hull
Mats Sundin
Jan Hrdina
Mike Comrie
I believe our offence will be better with the guys we brought in then it was with the guys who left.

DEF:
Scott Niedermayer
Adrian Aucoin
Mike Komisarek brought up from the farm
Ron Hainsey also brought up to learn the NHL game.

Our deffence is far better now then it was which was our number 1 priority.
Hold overs Craig Rivet and Andrei Markov look to hang around as they are both solid and add alot to the team.

In net there have been no changes as both José Théodore and Mathieu Garon are solid netminders..

Allthough Brett Hull,Mats Sundin, Adrian Aucoin and Scott Niedermayer were brought in to keep the team in the playoff race all could be moved in the right deal.Mtl has 2 1st rd dp this year as well as a few 2nds and 3rds but is still interested in another 1st or 2. cool.gif

After scoring 19 goals in 4 games the team is quite happy with the way everyone has played. We seem to have a team here that can move the puck very well and seal the deal when they get there chance's. Both goalie's have played very well with the support of a solid unit of defence men.

IN mtl hopes have gone from just getting to the playoffs too thinking they have a change to do something. With this in mind a prospect or 2 maybe leaving town to shore up the team for the playoffs.Forword prospects or young players will only be considered as the youth we have on D is staying put for sure.
