Title: NOSUB: Super Robot anime not in English- Dec 2013

MonoEye - February 10, 2011 03:19 AM (GMT)
I've been keeping a list like this for myself for some time, but I figured other people might be interested in it. If it's not on this list, then it's either currently airing, on BakaBT or AnimeBytes, or (gasp) you can buy it new on DVD.

Series missing links to RAWs: Gatchaman F, NG Knight Ramune & 40 + EX + DX, SD Gundam, Daigunder, Gaiking, Votoms Compilations
Series that have never been available RAW: Webdiver, Rainbowman, Bomberman B-Daman + V, Albegas, Lensman, MAZE Movie, Red Baron, Dai Apolon II, Wataru OVA II

Chou Kosoku Galvion - RAW FLVs on KU6.com (I have 1-3,8,19)

What about quality? I'm very interested in this.:subninja:

P.S. Dead Heat is in work at BOX-fansubs (legacy of Anime-Classic).

MonoEye - February 10, 2011 04:33 AM (GMT)
The five episodes I have look like TV rips, washed out, really bad quality. The FLV rips from KU6 might even be better, if someone can ever pull that off.

In the meantime, here's Galvion 01, since it's otherwise unavailable:

MisterLonelyChaser - February 10, 2011 05:24 AM (GMT)
Back in the old days of Winny I picked up most of Galvion off Winny but am missing 4 episodes.

Srungle was the same deal DVD rips were on Winny and I managed to get 39 out of 52 episodes...

MonoEye - February 10, 2011 05:31 AM (GMT)
I bet if everybody starts posting their incomplete RAWs, we could fill in gaps on each other. I think I'll start doing this before too long - once I've exhausted the wanted complete sets.

starseeker - February 10, 2011 08:17 AM (GMT)
I've got Raijinoh raws and I saw Tri-Zenon raws on /m/, they may be on /rs/ or you'll have to ask.

Ryvius - February 10, 2011 08:21 AM (GMT)
This is pretty awesome.

Zillion was actually picked up and finished recently by "Bubby-Subs", it's all available on BakaBT now. Supposedly they got a hold of a-classic's finished scripts and put it to work.

I'd guess Phantom Arc will go up on BakaBT and whatnot when Formula completes it all, the released episode 5 not long ago.

Oh, I've got both - Tri-Zenon with the HKSUB as well. Not a strong need for Raijin-Oh raws, except maybe the OVAs, since it's a little-guy licensed project - I'll support that one with my wallet, and you should too if you can.

looks in "incomplete subs" folder, sees Zillion, looks in folder, facepalms, moves to "complete subs" folter

So, that's off the list.

Crinn said a while back on /m/ that he will do Braiger and Galient, but release them in batches instead of ep-by-ep.

Yeah, I'm just waiting for them to finish releasing it first.

Yeah, Ginguiser ep 1 is pain....and episode 2 is even worse.

Guess I'll express interest in Laserion and that Mars OVA here to save you some trouble then.

Ow, that's as bad as I expected, just barely watchable. Still, better than nothing - not good enough to be used for a sub, just for collectors playing PokeRAW.

KaioShin - February 15, 2011 09:29 PM (GMT)
I just wanted to say thanks a ton for this thread, I've been hunting down information on these series' availabiltiy one series at a time for ages. Thanks for compiling all this information in one place.

I suppose a useful thread like this could use a sticky? :D

MonoEye - February 16, 2011 06:03 AM (GMT)
I was going to ask, just hadn't gotten around to it, so thanks for the sticky!

KaioShin - February 16, 2011 09:24 AM (GMT)
Finally got around to registering

MonoEye: Is that Daimos dub you have "official" or is it some philipino fandub or something along those lines? If it's listenable without getting ear cancer it would be great if you could upload it somewhere.

starseeker - February 16, 2011 11:32 AM (GMT)
If it's the one I have I believe it's official Philippino dub. It's utterly hilarious.

vincent_vincent - February 16, 2011 03:50 PM (GMT)
I can provide the links , i wanted to post them but i didn't know where to , i will post them on project , move them to RAW if you feel like it .

Edit:
I decided to post them on RAW , move them wherever you want

^ I think RAWs of this are on the RAW board. I have them regardless.

Vifam 13
- 1998, 26 episodes
- RAWs exist and were distributed, but no current source

^ I have a full copy of this, at the very least.

Rouran
- Episodes 1-26 of 28 are on BakaBT. Episode 27 was a recap, and Episode 28 was released separately (Nyaa, not seeded), so the series is technically complete - just not all in one place.

^ I have all of this, including 27 RAW.

Hikarian
- 1997, 156 episodes

^ This is the original terrible CG version of Hikarian, and missing from the list.

RPG Densetsu Hepoi
- 1990, 50 episodes
- Episode 1 subbed by ARR as a one-off
- No clean full RAW set available, only w/ Chinese Hardsub

I've actually got a torrent for this going. Only have episode one done, and the seeder disappeared before I could get another watchable, raws do exist.

There's a full torrent of Srungle raws on NyaaTorrent with a couple seeds counted. Anyone try getting it?

Updated the list after a good six months, just PM me if you see anything wrong with it (not counting the outdated RAW pointers, which need a good updating).

if anyone decides they want to sub Vifam 13, get with me
I have the (reencoded) DVD5s that probably originally came from share.
not the best source, but I can still whip out some x264 raws from them, since the list says raws/ source are MIA.
alternately I can reseed the ISO torrent at ADC.
don't bother with them on Share now, they are long since gone there.

someone ported it to animebytes, probably better seeded there.

I wish I still had Disc 1 ISO of Srungle that I got from Scarywater ages ago.
those ISOs are freaking nowhere I can find.

Always wondered, is Vifam 13 a redo of Vifam or is it a continuation of the series???

djmasturbeat - March 30, 2013 02:58 AM (GMT)
most call it a remake, but here is a description from MAL sourced from somewhere else:

On July 27 1996, Mr. Takeyuki Kanda died suddenly at the age of 52. Born August 11 1943, he was known as the director of several animations including VIFAM. Thus in 1998 a new TV series of VIFAM was broadcasted in memory of him. Televised 1998/3/21-1998/10/3 (in Kansai area), it contains 26 episodes, and like Twelve people disappeared it is a sidestory, but some new features are added: new persons, new RV, etc.

The story could be inserted between #22 and #26 (#24 and #25 are digests) of VIFAM, and is divided into three parts: Act I (#1-14), Interlude (#15-18), Act II (#19-26), if we name them (in reality Act I and II have little relationship). It could also be the New Testament, but it is now regarded as an apocrypha (or worse, a pseudo-VIFAM). There are several reasons to say so, but to watch the story is the best way to understand them.

Vifam is amazing in my book. Way better than Dragonar I'd say, coming from Kanda. I finally watched two of the OVA's recently and even years apart from watching the series, it felt like I was never away from those characters... good times.

I really hope we get to see the remake/reboot someday, looks like they got most of the VA's back and everything, pretty curious to see how it is.

Hey, fyi, Hokuto no Gun has been slowly subbing Science Fantasy Adventure Gulliver Boy for quite a while now. They've done 9 episodes, and they are still actively working on it.

Wow, totally missed that one, thanks!

Not sure if it's of any relevance/importance, but if you go on Yahoo Auctions JP (there's also a link on Amazon.co jp, but I'm unsure if it's out of sale or not), you can find Laserdisc copies of Lensman SPECIAL 1&2 (if I'm not mistaken, I believe it's the television series) for sale
