Casey decided to take a short cut from her normal route, veering left towards the Forest. It had been a year, since she had last gone through them. The night was cold, and the wind blew violently making her stride difficult. She approached the small dirt road leading to a ramshackle cottage. It looked deserted, but she decided to take a look inside. The window was moldy and chipped, and the glass was filthy. Using her sleeve she wiped the grime and screamed when a cat jumped onto the window sill. Casey felt foolish until she noticed blood on the cats fur which wasn't her own. She went in for a closer look, and tried to focus beyond the animal, spying something on the floor. A woman's hand peeked out from behind and gripped her tightly around the ankle. The hand felt cold and rotten when it started to tighten its dead grip. Her attention pulled from inside the shack, Casey screamed shrilly as she began to see a dark figure emerge from the woods, it was a young boy. He looked as if something scared him but she couldnt help him, the hand began to climb up her leg as the boy looked on with horror in his brown eyes. Then he raised his gun to shoot the rotten hand. Casey gasped when...

she saw it, thinking he was going...
