A Literary Works Forum->Forum RulesForum Rules
The Forum Rules:
1. No profanity, if your story contains it that's one thing, but if you are just flat out cussing at other members that's a big no-no.
2. We are constructive, not rude in this forum. If I see your cutting down another author/poet then you will be banned on the first offense. No warnings for this, we aren't here to attack eachother.
3. Please, try to comment on at least three works before you post your own work. And nothing like "I like it." If you want someone to take the time to read and comment on your work, then do the same for others.
4. No advertising your website/forum in any place but the advertisement area.
5. No reposting your advertisement or answering to it to bump it up. The admin can see your IP address, and you will be warned. Your ad will also be deleted, and you won't be allowed to post it again for two months. You just have to be fair and let other people get first spot too.
6. No erotica... ok, I understand it's a literary form, but please don't post it on this forum. You may post a link to where someone can find your work, but make sure you say it's erotica VERY CLEARLY and right away. The site can NOT have erotic pictures, your post will be deleted if it does.
7. Do not take someone else's work and pass it on as your own, it's called plagarism and it's against the law!
8. Rants are allowed only if they are at least three paragraphs long (4-5 sentences is a paragraph) and are placed in the other category with the word Rant in the title. Yes, I consider this literature in some form, it's simular to an essay.
9. Absolutely no hotlinking to picture of questionable nature. Children may come to this board, and click on your link. I will ban your IP address with no warning.
10. Yes, I can change your user name, just email me RHunt through the forum and tell me what you want your user name changed too. I will do this once every two months per person, so pick a good one.
11. No, you don't have to sign up or even log into use the board. Why? Because forcing people to join doesn't make quality users. If you don't want someone to steal your user name, then make sure you register.
12. Please post no more then two chapters of a novel, and if there is more give a link where people can find it. If you don't have a website, geocities.com works just fine for posting novels. Or you can use fictionpress.com, and post your works there.
13. Anyone caught abusing the shout box will have their IP banned. It's one thing to shout a few times, but completely different to spam, cuss, or place "bad" websites up.
If you follow these rules, then everyone will have a fun time in the forum. Most of these offensives will get you warned and your post deleted. Anything said to be a no warning offense is just that. I'll ban you, no email, no please stop, just one day you can sign on and the next day you can't.
