Here's the discussion thread for .hack//SIGN, which takes place not too long after AI Buster. There is a video game series for it, but with a different title. And there's an Anime series, with... 27 eps, I think. So, on with the discussion.

acctualy, A.I. Bust runs into some of .Hack//SIGN, but that's tward the middle of the second book, and it has some story in Legend of the Twilight Bracelet too. It just follow's multiple charcters.

Ah, I see. Didn't know that. Well, I think this thread will mainly be for the SIGN Anime series, so as to prevent confusion.

You didn't understand the whole Tsukasa thing?? Well, let me try to explain, and if I miss anything or mess up anything Tri-Edge will probably take care of it.

Lemme see... Tsukasa, from what I recall, was a player character who never logged out because he couldn't. He didn't even know if he was a real PC or an NPC, but the others soon discovered he was a PC, but unable to log out. Some of the other PC's in real life did some research on the person named "Tsukasa" and came up with a girl with the same name who had been in the hospital for a while, apparently in a coma or something. Then when Aura was "born" at the end of SIGN, in real life Subaru ended up running into a girl who just got out of the hospital--Tsukasa. (Subaru was in a wheelchair) That' pretty much the vague overview... if Tri-Edge wants to elaborate, he may.

first off, Tsukasa did know that she was a PC... just didn't know why she couldn't log off. second, it was Bear who did the searching... and from what i recall, he didn't use Tsukasa's name because he didn't know her real life name, but he mentioned that he found a girl in a hospital in a coma to Tsukasa, witch he thought was her. *they all though Tsukasa was a boy because her PC was male... she even thought that for a bit too* I don't know their real life names... it's somewhere but i just haven't found it... probley in some magna...

I thought for a little while that Tsukasa thought she was an NPC, like a vagrant AI or something... it just didn't last long.

nop, cuz in the first or second episode, she tryed to log off, but couldn't.

I thought it was... er... the Black Rose character (forgot her name, sorry) who suggested it, like she said something to the effect of, "Do you think he could be an NPC??" and everyone else immediately dismissed it. Something like that. It's been a while since I've seen the show, so you'll have to forgive my lousy memory.

Yeah, Mimiru. Man, I've gotta watch the series again... I can only remember some from Roots, and practically all from AI Buster and LotT. I really like SIGN, too... I've downloaded a ton of songs from the soundtrack, too.

yea... id like to find a soundtrack for .Hack also... but i did find one of the song's on YouTube, it's called Twilight, i really like it.

Well, I've downloaded all sorts of .hack//SIGN songs, but I'm not sure if I should tell you where, though. It's the whole "FBI-investigating-pirated-stuff" thing.
