Juventus have signed Brazilian right back Rafinha from Schalke 04 for �8 million, according to Sportmediaset. There is no official confirmation from either of the two clubs, but it is expected to arrive shortly. Juventus have had a high profile summer in the transfer market, already signing Felipe Melo, Diego, Fabio Cannavaro, and Martin Caceres on loan, and had stated a couple of weeks ago that they would be bringing in no further players. However, the full back positions looked far from secure in the latter part of pre-season, and now Juventus have moved to strengthen their right back area by purchasing Rafinha, a fast and attacking wingback who has been likened to Selecao legend Cafu. Rafinha fell out with Schalke last summer after he insisted on competing in the Olympics. Without permission the Brazilian international travelled to China and incurred a �700,000 fine. The full back has been linked with a host of top clubs this summer, including Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea, but it is Juventus it seems who have secured his signature. Sportmediaset also claims that Rafinha will not be the last arrival in Turin before the end of the transfer window. The first name under consideration is Marco Motta (23), currently playing for AS Roma, who might be purchased in exchange for Juventus left-back Christian Molinaro (27). Bacary Sagna's solid displays at right-back for Arsenal alerted a pair of European heavyweights this summer - both Real Madrid and Juventus have shown an interest in the player, according to a source close to the French international.

The source also alluded to Sagna's loyalty to Arsenal, as he had no intention of becoming a part of Florentino Perez's second wave of Galacticos.

"It is true that Juventus are interested in him, but he does not want to leave Arsenal," the source told Futbol Mercado.

"Although Juventus are a great club, he's not interested in leaving, because his aim is to win a title with Arsenal, so there will be no negotiation in this regard."

The source added: "Are other clubs interested? Sure, I could confirm he was on the shortlist of Real Madrid when they were looking for a right-back.

"In fact, Real Madrid asked for him, though it was an impossible bargain because he would not leave."

Sagna was bought by Arsene Wenger from Ligue 1 side Auxerre in 2007 for �6 million - that fee now looks like a bargain. He has swiftly established himself as the club's first-choice right-back.

FABIO ZACKIONE Group: Members Posts: 376 Member No.: 163 Joined: 17-November 05	no to zabaleta, no to nani... they will not fit to Juve system.. as a Bundesliga follower, rafinha is a good buy but he is sometimes likes Sergio Ramos, good at attacking but shaky at the back.. jerome boateng?? he have height & good individual skills.. might be considerable... Marco Motta???? who didn't want him!!! young, energetic & importantly he is italian...
