The new Beast stuff is up on GW. I am never buying Failcast centigor and here's why...
Centigor $102 New GBS $22. Not bad. Razorgor $41 Beastlord $26 $102! Get real banana peel. The list of other things I could buy for $102 is way to big. Actually I think it is now cheeper to make my own out of marauder horsemen and gor...yep that's only $82 This post has been edited by The Charioteer on Aug 10 2012, 12:53 PM -------------------- You are guilty! I'll be getting a chariot, the great bray and perhaps another beastlord. The price hike for swedish currency is not to bad, discounting the chariot, but the rest only got hiked the equivalent of between £1-2. Think the razorgor actually got a pound cheaper, but that might just be me.
I'll be making my own centigor in any case though, as having custom made stuff adds flavor to your army, plus they end up larger, which is allways a plus in my book. -------------------- Gore, crush, stomp, KILL!

I won't be buying any of the new models.
The GBS is a bit meh now that I got a closer look to it (wanted it to be more feral), the Centigors are smaller/less dynamic than the ones you can make with Marauder Horses and Gor bodies. The chariot is okay I guess but still feels a bit static compared to making your own with an orc chariot and whatnot. The Beastlord is cool though, too bad I don't need a Beastlord (maybe a unitfiller down the road?). -------------------- |

Here in the US i am seeing the centigors in failcast for the same price as usual, $59
Razorgor went down from $25 to $24.75 woohoo what a savings! GBS $14.75 Beastlord $16 I dont really see any change in the beastlord 2hw model? Edi: forgot to mention the chariot, $40 which i believe used to be about the same? Because there isn't one. They just released it in resin without changing the sculpt.
I like the new Bray-Shaman model, so I might be picking that up. The best option to get a good-looking Beastmen Chariot is still to convert it out of an Orc Boar Chariot, though. I'm also quite disappointed that horrific Razorgor didn't get redone. -------------------- "The best defense is a good offense." -Gen. George S. Patton

The shaman is good, I like his patchwork cloak. Not really GBS material tho. I can't believe they thought the chariot and razorgor were worth converting over tho. The tuskgors on the chariot are ridiculously cartoonish, and the razorgor... Not much to say that hasn't already be said. Glad there are good alternatives out there.

I'm glad they turned the chariot into finecrap, if I give finecrap another go, I'll definately try the chariot. And beastlord!
Centigors and razorgors no thank you. New brayshaman made me go: Eeeeeww! What a disproportionate mesh. -------------------- |

Well at least the Centigors and Razogor prices pretty much stayed the same. I'm much more likely to buy some Centigors now that they aren't made of clunky metal that needs pinning. Razorgor is not the prettiest model, but remember it is a lot easier to mod it now that it is not a giant chunk of metal.
As for the new bray shaman. I'll be getting one. I really dig the cloak on him. -------------------- -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Razorgor is a serrious let down. Soo are those Shamans (though i like the idea, it IS NOT a GREATER Bray Shaman), soo one for the heck of it for me is fine.
You just can feel the cold and the unwillingness of GW to give us Beastmen players any love. . . . really WTF is that Razorgor . . . -------------------- Natural Beast - Children of the Great Beast God (my Beastman diary)

The more I look at the bray shaman, I see an ungor in a patchwork cloak.
the older models have more gravitas to them. I've given up on any modeling help from GW for beastmen models. The few that come out, are pretty mediocre. Fortunately, there's a lot of third parties out there willing to make great sculptures for less. (I'm looking at YOU Maelstrom) -------------------- http://thenerdalsorises.wordpress.com/

Bray shaman- hell yes!
Razorgor- dropped $4, not bad Chariot- an increase of over 25% wtf! Beastlord- up $5 but still reasonable Centigors- overpriced...now even more overpriced at $122 So for us kiwis it's a mix of ups and downs I think, razorgor and and shaman are quite appealing to me (I hate converting metal, so a resin razorpig is welcomed by me) As for the new shaman, I love him! He looks aged and somewhat wise, long slender horns but with the physical bulk of a Gor. Plus, the chicken legs are gone! but I do agree, not really GBS material So 2 pros 2 cons and 1 that doesn't bother me, I did expect worse from GW, so I'm content This post has been edited by GorNZ on Aug 10 2012, 08:22 PM |

Imagine if they made a set of 3 razorgor wannabes....that'd be a big seller IMO. Even just a single (posable ideally) razorgor wannabe would rock, but I like to dream a bit bigger. -------------------- ![]() Decker's Beast Blog - Last updated September 2/2011 - Banelords Beastlord and Harpies Decker's Eclectic Painting and Modeling Diary - Last updated August 29/11 - Bretonnian Knight + Lord Tallarn 47th Light Infantry Army Diary - Last updated March 29/09 - Leman Russ Eradicator |

Oh man. they have the mold for that recent rider piggy....so close. What's the member here who's their rep? Mino's are hard to play, but their models are pretty bad/terrible. But with Malestrom ones? Well, they'd be a lot more bearable. Keep dreaming big! -------------------- http://thenerdalsorises.wordpress.com/
