Looking throught the website (and on a few others as well) I was wondering whether this'll be making a comeback, or if there is any interest in one going out?

I think that enough people would answer "Yeah, I'd be interested". The real question is: will we have enough contributions?

I'm sure that there will be enough contributions with the discussion of alternative tactics and army builds that are ongoing on the forum at the moment.

Any idea's how to get this built up and running again?

Has there ever been a Beastmen magazine? Is there an archive where I can find them?

Eventually, but I have never done that, and it would take a lot of time. I was thinking painting.

I'll write up an article on how to scratch build a chariot for spruce parts (and a few bits, wheels, balsa wood ect) and submit it somewhere.

Even it there is no Webzine it'll be a good article to have around

Put it in the hobby subforum, and have a moderator attach it to the pinned hobby thread. That is how my snow article got added.

There was some years ago, or at least there were plans to.
As for the contributions, the only community that managed to keep a webzine has been the Chaos Dwarfs one. They have a VERY dedicated community, and the lack of official material for decades made fans eager to contribute, imo. I doubt it'd be possible for Beastmen, but I'd be glad to be proven wrong!

The biggest reasons for the successful fanzines being successful (like Skavenblight Gazette and the CD one) is that they have editors and staff that work their behinds off to get it published. When we tried to make a mag we didn't.
We got a couple of articles written (my herdstone tutorial was originally written for the Herdstone mag), but we didn't have anyone driven enough to push it all through and get it published to a good standard.

That is the important thing, you need an editor who's burning for the mag and to get it published. gripe.gif

Good articles can get stickied in the forums for posterity, we don't have an absolute need for a fanzine. Sure, it would be nice, but... shrug.gif

@Kawazu: The Under Empire has a great fanzine, they're up to issue 14 now. http://www.skavenblightgazette.com/

I know that Da Warpath Quarterly (DWQ) is up to issue 20...but that seems to have stalled which is a shame, only got some of my stuff in one of them

I think a fanmag would be tough, we have a small, relatively dedicated community but the important word there is small. I think a good system would be for mods to encourage posters from the Batrep and army diary's who do nice work( fresh tactics, greats scratch builds/conversions) to build dedicated threads to that particular piece of awesome.

Would like to see the beastmen with a mag - high lighting what this forum can do and what its members can bring.

Like mrtn said - it will take a lot of work for few dedicated individuals with the proper tools and skills to put that "polished / quality" touch on it.
