Yet again, I've come back from a WH game without my artillery dice. Problem is, while we all make an effort to use different d6s, all our scatter dice are identical GW white ones. So you never know whose you're rolling, and in the scramble to tidy up they get into the wrong places.
So does anyone know of an alternative source of the scatter and artillery dice, in another colour or style? -------------------- |

If you buy the dice cubes from GW with coloured dice they include scatter and artillery dice as well.

Oh, the special dice in those are coloured too? I didn't know that - as I've only ever seen white ones I assumed they only made white ones!!!

Quite a few Warhammer communities have made their own scatter dice. The Herdstone did not, primarily because we don't really need them. Also 6 sided custom dice are comparatively expensive.
Fun fact, GW's scatter dice is "patented" or some such, registered trademark maybe. Protected design anyway. Regardless, at least someone is making similar if not exactly the same. Good thing only the design and not the idea itself is protected. http://www.thediceshoponline.com/dice/2131...6-sided-D6-Dice -------------------- |

You could also try using permanent marker to a white one. Add a bit of color to it and you will be in better shape. My friend uses one of the GW dice tins if it's perfectly full he has all his dice if not he knows something is wrong.

I've checked out the GW dice cubes and they do indeed contain coloured artillery dice, though the dice are a bit teeny.
Seems like the easiest and cheapest thing is to buy 3 cubes of blue GW dice to get the 3 dice I need to fire a Helblaster. Though what I'll then do with 75 spare d6s is anyone's guess! -------------------- |

You think that's cheap?
From time to time I see the dice from the starter sets on the Swedish branch of eBay, I guess you could find them on the main bay as well? That way you'd only get 30 extra dice. Or was the fact that these are white a problem? In that case, just paint them. -------------------- Eight Chicky Bits, is that a Chicky Byte?

Hmmm, painting them might work actually!

Hey Shadespyre, if I were you I would find a bits store that sells the parts from Island of Blood separately. I got the IoB dice from hoard o' bits for about $3 (US). I'm not sure if they ship worldwide, but you can investigate. This link should take you straight to their IoB components:
http://hoardobits.com/cgi/hob/shop.pl?cat1...nd%20of%20Blood EDIT: Oops, I just read the whole thread and realized that you were looking for colored, not white dice. From the last few comments (and title) I thought you were just trying to get hold of the dice without buying whole sets. The ones I pointed you to are white, sorry to disappoint This post has been edited by Billy Ocean on Jul 23 2012, 05:05 AM -------------------- "Chance favors only the prepared mind" - Louis Pasteur

I have a related question, and don't really know want to start a new topic. I hope you guys can forgive my *slight* thread jacking.
But does anyone know where I might be able to get a decent amount of dice with Beastmen Icon's or colors? Thanks. |
