Hell Demons!, First tournament

Bring on the pentagrams!

I am planning on finishing up my demons for a tourney at the end of November. It is using the swedish comp system and I will have to have at least a score of 10. My list, which ain´t that good, is looking something along the lines of this, but I will probably not have so much extras to put in. Any ideas or so?

Numbers might be a bit off since I write this from memory.

Khorne herald with firesword and the little armor
Khorne Herald with firesword, little armor, jugger and BSB
Tzeentch heraldm lore of light and fly
2x20 Letters with FC, (can´t remember if any of them had endless war?)

Got a suggestion from a friend on another list instead, which scored a little higher.

So no Light on the Tzeentch Herald? I can see why you'd need a spellbreaker, but I also think that the Lore of Light would be perfect in this army.

And I do love the Jugger Herald... Hm, I think I like the first one more, actually.

In the second list both of my juggers will be in there as fillers for the letters. Will probably tweek the list anyway after the comp update but it´s more of less the same models so will have to paint up things anyway so.

Oh, in that case... Well, then it's only the light herald I miss.

Well, I thought that was a dramatic revelation, anyway....

How fun. Me too!

Two years in a row me and Sherlocko got to fight the opening game against eachother. With him playing daemons and me a very bad Skaven list, I don't have high hopes for a hat trick.

But it would be great - especially as I just can't lose against him.

I'll try and get my comp as close to his, if at all possible.

Mind you, this is my first tournament in 6 years, and my first serious tournament like... well... try "ever"? I'v only played around 3 matches with my new beasts in 8th, I won them all, but that was against a bloke who has reputation as the worst Warhammer gamer in Uppsala (His dice rolling is apocalyptic), so my hopes for a decent array of winnings are rather bottomed out.

Still, it'll be fun, and thats the point. Plus I get to show off my Ghorgon, who'm im shamelessly proud off.

Of course - Beastmen! Would be fun to bring them too, but I take a new army every year to QfA. Well, this will be the fourth at least.

And I have my new thing going that I hope will do better than last year, which was with my beasts, placing me in the middle somewhere (one battle point more than Sherlocko ). I don't have really high hopes though, as I haven't played Skaven since early 5th edition... But I will try and get in some practice games soon.

And as I'm not to bothered with taking only the good stuff, I'm sure it'll go really bad.

Do you have a picture of your ghorgon? Would be nice to see it.

No worries. And you´d better get comp close to me so I can slow start QfA with a game which is more about the amount of coffee consumed than the victory points earned.

Unfortunately the Ghorgons lower jaw is still working its way through chinese customs , According to the seller, they are concerned that it might be drugs cast in a wierd shape. This bestowed upon me hilarity and irritation in equal measure. Plus my minatures are very standard painted, nothing special.

A new army every year?! High heaven, and here I was thinking I was pushing my economy starting another new army so soon after Beastmen, without being finished repainting (bought most second hand) some 60 gors.

Bringing a rather well rounded list myself, without piles of cheese. That is, if I do not fall to the temptation of bringing a minibus, which will make me cruise around half a dozen points in comp if im unlucky.

So you order the lower jaw from china? That's a specific order if ever I saw one.

And yeah, I'm actually on my fifth army since 2008, I think. Well, sixth if I count the first round of Beastmen I did. Sold one though. Come to think of it, that's quite a lot.

I'm actually trying out a Mino bus for the Umeå tournament this weekend. Haven't yet decided the details of the list though, but I think it could be cool.

And Sherlocko, if I don't mind playing against a lower comp army, and you against a higher, then maybe Hampus could be persuaded to let us grudge this one? Would be very fun and a nice way to start the weekend.
