Well, not much to say about the topic really. I thought id try to keep my new years sort of promise and start working harder on my main porjects, namely music and wargaming. Will probably be alot of different shyte here such as Warhammer, Blood Bowl, Necromunda, Man O War and Mordheim. I like to diversify and so it will all hopefully come to a quite weird and cool collection of models and paints.

I thought id start with my most urgent matter, Ive been playing blood bowl for many a years now(10 or so) and have yet to finish painting an entire team. Its almost a bloody joke but when you come to think of it my other projects (beasts of chaos and skaven) must have been very timeconsumeing so up to now my other projects have been suffering, but no more. Its time for my Underworld Team Shoggoth Cave Smash Brigade to emerge from stasis.

I took some of my valued time to convert a new Warpstone Troll with tentacles to add to my otherwise quite basic team. I absolutley love the Troll models and the Stone Trolls especially (which will show in my upcomming postings) so I decided to just get him geard up for some brutal rampage in the underworld arenas.

Next up in blood bowl, the rest of the team and the coach stand..

Some time ago (long before the comming of Throg) I wanted to field a troll horde in Warhammer, so I solved the problem by making an Ogre Kingdoms list(would that make it Troll Kingdoms?) based entierly around Trolls and their Goblin retinue. The conversion that followed have been extremly fun and enriching to my otherwise quite dull life of archaeological science. Now the Result!


My tyrant is based on a River Troll I bought on an auction, he had no arms or head so ut was basically just a torso. I solved the problem by adding the arms of a daemon prince(with those beefy shoulders) and the staff of that old orc shaman git. To the staff I added a huge metal claw from some Tyranid modell. I finished up by adding a brooding hood of doom in place of its face, all to give it a more grim reaper style. The crow on his shoulder and the trophy rack of Warlord Queek just hit the spot in my opinion. To protect the gut he got a chaos spacemarine torso hollowed out and glued in place. Im quite pleased with the result all in all.


My Butcher was yet another "hacked to pieces" river troll (someone really hate these guys up here!) who lacked one arm and its head. The arm and the core of the head was replaced with a Rat Ogres. After that I added a mask from a 40K demon engine thingy that really enhanced the feeling of a mad troll butcher.I gave him a troll choppa and a skaven bannerpole for a Bang Stick. The Shouldpad is something taken from our 40k bitzbox, I know the strap is a ork thingy though. The cloak I have no clue about where I got it. Last but not least I added a tooth gnoblar(skaven) to the base for some extra scenery.

I have more pictures to take of the troll horde but the blood batteries was drained in the camera so its just a look at things to come so far. Overall its around 14 trolls and 50 Goblins, I'll see how far im willing to go

Sounds like a couple of good plans there! I'm looking forward to seeing more.. and of course seeing some paint on those cool guys!!

What team are you going for in Blood Bowl? A whole ogre-team with trolls would be quite cool.

Beastmum: Aye the painting of my Blood Bowl team is prio 1 at the moment and after that I'll start with the trolls. I prefer to have most of my army converted and ready before I bring out the paint, the biggest reason for this is that it helps me define the colorscheme I want for the army when they are all gathered

Beastlord: Glad you liked it, I got "masks" on almost all my rivertrolls, mostly becouse I hate the rivertroll heads but also becouse of the fact that most of them lacked heads to start with

Well after alot of worship to the unspeakable the Goblin part of my Underworld team is done. Im quite pleased yet I still have to do the bases. But I'll save that for later when the whole team is painted..

On the Troll front the first 1k points are all but done, its those pesky Maneaters that I need to get on with, however it will have to wait since im all out of trolls

Troll Bulls

Simple yet fun conversions of 2 river and one stone, the reason they got masks is that I didnt have any faces for them, so it was quite a save to just modell huge masks on top of it all.

Finally ive started up a new Mordheim Warband, namely Carnival of Chaos. I admit, I love Nurgle and have done so for as long as ive played Warhammer and Chaos. What is there not to love about a huge grandfatherly blob that just wants everyone to be happy in his own miserable way. Great fun!

My warband will mostly contain heroes since its most fun modelling em and I wont use a single model from the warband(how trve is that!)
First out I crafter a brute and a tainted one out of some Doo-Doo I had around.

Brute

Basically just a old skaven striker from the screaming bell, I made his hood longer and added a claw to it, then I just modeled some blisters on the hood in the shape of nurgles mark and added some cheesy heads for great justice. Turned out ok.

Tainted One

The tainted one is basically a Night Goblin with a Nurgly mask, a bretonnian sword, a ghouls arm and a tyranids shoulderpad Now this is how extremyl cheap I will make my warband and thats the way I love mordheim. All chaosy and weird!

Looking really weird and cool, I like it. But fix them mouldlines, especially on the last one! (And fix me list! )
