Minimize the number of straight fear and terror tests you have to take. As many units that are MoCU or immune to pysch as possible.
However this only helps if you are tailoring units to VC... If you play a tzeentch list, like me, you can't really deal with the fear tests. I just try my best to triple team units so that at least 2 units will get in each time. I also just try to take out their fast stuff while I run circles around the rest of their army. VC isn't as bad as TK at least... --------------------

I dont mean to resurrect a dead thread, but i was coming to ask this very same question. I have a battle vs. 1000 point Vap Count this weekend for our gaming club winter campaign, and last time iplayed i had a hard time! PLEASE! any advice would be great..
Heres the list i plan to use: 1000 Point Army (999) Magister Aylmer (Aspiring Champion of Chaos) -Mark of Tzeentch (70), Dispel Scroll (25), Shield (2). Total Points: 177 10 Warriors of Chaos - Hand Weapons, Heavy Armor, Shield (10), Mark of Tzeentch (20), Champion (12), Standard Bearer(12), Musician (6) Total Points: 200 25 Marauders of Chaos - Hand Weapons, Light Armor (18), Shields (18), Musician (5), Standard Bearer (10), Chieftain (10) Total Points: 200 Chariot of Chaos - Mark of Tzeentch (20). Total Points: 140 5 Screamers of Tzeentch Total Points: 175 Beast/Mutant Horde (6/9) -Champion, Musician, Total Points: 103 Power Dice: 6 Dispel Dice: 3 Im planning to rush the screamers into the uunit housing his general, and direct all the attacks i can against him. I this a good idea? If he dies, than i've virtually got a victory, so i figure its not that bad of a deal... -------------------- "Let mere Wizards have their simple fire. The flames of Tzeentch are by far the more subtle, the stranger, and all the more powerful for it. Who is more deeply burned? The man who is scorched and recoils, or the man who accepts the flame, thinking it is but warming light?”

I'd just suicide rush some minos into his fragile general, kill it, and then its probably game over.
Chariots should be good, since at 1k points his units won't be huge and they get psych rerolls...also, minotaurs are essential of course, and I'd go light on hounds. --------------------

vampires are generally not so fragile, so unless he uses a general necro its a gamble. I play Nurgle beasts and seldom have any problems what so ever vs VC,

Actually, if it is 1000 points of the current(old) VC then the only vampire he can have as general is necrarch, and those are pretty fragile. --------------------

in the current rules 1000 points means he can only take a necro as his genral or a nech, (they have -2BS and are usless)
On a more relevant topic what blodline do they play? |

Ah thanks for enlightening me
As for bloodlines I have no idea really, Von Carstein is quite common. -------------------- Silenius Blasphemous Painting Diary of Doom
