Agreed with above. I've run exactly one game at a points total other than 2500 this calendar year.

I think in the US 2500 is standard while here in Europe 2400 tends to be the norm. Personally i'm not really willing to play less than 2400 and I don't have the stuff to get up to 3000

In Duluth Minnesota we've been doing 2,400 for all of our tournaments. However, I'm pushing to lower that number to 2,200 since that's what Adepticon Championships are running at as well as the North Star GT based out of the Twin Cities.

3000 points since I started playing the local tournament here in Yorktown Virginia. I only dropped down once to 2400 to help my tomb king buddy prep for ard boyz, hell that was over 6 months ago.
Hoping to play some 2 on 2 games soon though where both players have 2000 or so.

I've been playing 2400pts since 8th Edition came out.
My group is considering an upgrade to 2700pts, but we probably won't.

Here in the Mid-Atlantic an average game is run at 2500 points.

My gaming group also enjoys playing games a bit scaled down at 2000.

I have been trying to play at 2200 points when I can to try and play test for next year's Adepticon.

2500 but lately 1500 and 2000 point games are common with the local store having shortened hours.

We generally play at 2000pts although I'm trying to expand that to 2400pts or 2500pts. Fantasy might take a bit of a hit though with the new 40K coming out, I can see defectors cropping up everywhere lol....including myself, although I plan on trying to alternate between the two as I still loves me some Fantasy.

Really while a lot of tournaments use 2400-2600 there really isn't a 'standard' sized game.

Some of my favorite games are generally outside the 'typical tournament' size. 1000-1500 points. . . or to a lesser extent 2999.

A local gaming group has been running an 'escalation' tournament series starting at 500 points. One tournament every month or so going up by 500 points each tournament.
