Hi everyone,

I'm returning to the hobby after many, many years away (1996 was the last time I played Warhammer I think) and I'm going to collect both Dwarfs and Beastmen. I'm planning on collecting a Dwarf army of old Marauder models and a Beastmen force of mainly plastics as I'm a big fan of the current range.

Should be posting some pictures of my painted stuff in the near future (once I get some done!).

Hopefully speak soon.

I've got a load of the Marauder Dwarfs mate. 60 or so models ready to paint but I've only got these ones ready to go so far.

Oh, those are nice! Stick with the green, it makes a nice change on Dwarves and Testors Dullcote *will* solve all your ugly shine problems, it's amazing stuff.

I'm a big fan of old miniatures (I'm old myself!) and the Marauder ranges have their own special charm, so I'll be keeping an eye on these guys. I hope you'll be keeping this army all old-skool metals if not all Marauder?

And seriously, if that's your first painted unit then you're a natural, I've painted 800 Warhammer figures in the last couple of years and even the characters don't look any better than those guys (perhaps I should have kept it down to 400 huh wink.gif )

Thanks folks!

Shadespyre: I am going to keep the army all metal, and yep, all Marauder era. I am tempted by the army that Avatars of War are planning though!

And they're not the first models I've ever painted (those were in about 1989!) but it's the first time I've ever painted a full unit and the first time I've painted at all since the mid 90s.

Waiting on some paints arriving in the post so I can get going on a load of Gor and Ungor.
