Well, we'll see in January at the latest.

There's been a bit of direct leakage at GW Germany, which I thought I should share. At the present, Brets are scheduled to be released between November and January, though there appear to be some kinks in the system they have to work out, hence the span of three months. No further details as of yet, as ony the release schedule has so far made its way out. (Although only the Lady knows how many last-minute screw ups could postpone that still further... we've seen it before! )
There has been talk about several plastic kits, though I am wary of that, as GW has sometimes developed plastic kits that were withdrawn at the last minute (a Dwarf character set was scrapped, and two of the concept minis - a dwarf king on oathstone and a BSB - were released in metal instead). I'm hearing two at least, but well... big surprise there, as every new army book has come with at least two new plastic sets in th recent past.

Would anybody know if the timing is significant in any way? I'm guessing it will have some effect that we are being published after the release of Storm of Magic.

And guys... let's keep the "yeah, sure, reliable source" jokes down to a minimum, please. This is the good stuff, rumour-wise

Heres another 'solid rumour' from gcSmith from the thread over at Bols

"I also have a couple of rumours to add, a 6 man knight kit that can make either questing or grail knights and a plastic trebuchet kit that makes either standard trebuchet or a fireball ish throwing catapult. There is also stated a plastic lord kit suitable for king leon.

The source also supports a late year early next year release."

He sounds pretty confident too.
thats 3 guys now all sounding very confident.
So what do I know?

Its looking interesting to say the least, although I am slightly irritated they're messing with my book

I thought rumour had it that Brets weren't going to be out until late 2013 at the EARLIEST... Hmmm, interesting. I certainly hope the above rumours are true as I've been waiting for some lovely new kits for my favourite army (sorry fellow 'Stoners!) for a what seems a millennia.

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing. All the rumors I had heard for months stated that Warriors would be in the 4th quarter of the year and that High Elves would be Jan-Feb.

I've found that it's much harder to trust rumours nowadays. I think that the next books are WoC and CSM respectively, but I don't know when either is released, which is pretty extraordinary and shows that GW's rumour lockdown is "working". coffee.gif

I've found that rumours are more and more difficult to trust lately and for my own selfish means I hope they don't mess with the Bretonnian book or fluff too much if that's true...especially if it means that my favourite army will get a load of people jumping on the band wagon (Beasts, OnG and Brets are my 3 fav armies and 'least' popular apparently amoing competative players)

Don't forget WE or TK on the "unpopular" front! smile.gif

I definitely would be interested to see what direction they move Brets in, particularly with regards to the non-Knight units.

I would like to see some:

Knights on foot with swords w/ options for hammers or mace/flail.

Skirmishing huntsmen w/ bows and or hunting hound units for chaff.

Templar knights on foot with great weapons would be cool also.

Some sort of pitch thrower for another war machine choice.

Not sure what you could do for monstrous cav or monsters in general. Maybe young dragons w/ riders?? I don't really see huge Pegasus riders for the monster slot.
