Field Treb 90

Total: 2500 >

The idea is since the vast majority of my army gets vangard move then since I NEVER go first I can charge out of vangard I get to pick my fights. Killing warmachines off first then using peasants and knights to whittle down units. I should be able to take a large amount of his points with a multicharge and then run away and feed him peasants for the rest of the game.

Since I have no bigger idea of how Bretts work I have a question. Why do you have your lvl4 on a pegasus with crown? Can she join units then, because otherwise....she will just die, right?

A guy at my club uses a similar list.

The only difference is that he has absolutely no core other than Archers. About 10 units of 10 with Braziers

Then his Special slot comprises of many smaller Pegasus Knight units. About 3-4 in each unit.

Then Rare is 2 Trebuchets.

Characters are Level 4 with Dispel Scroll (only that) and a BSB with protective gear. Lastly a Lord with Heroic Killing Blow and some stuff I don't know. I think maybe a Dragonhelm somewhere. All on Pegasi.

Edit: I might add that he is maybe the best player at my club.

You should have him read his book as he is cheating. You must have a units of Knights in core ;)

Hooray for 6th ed. unit composition restrictions!

The Prophetess on a Peg worries me - she can't join units, and a 6+ (occasionally 5+) Ward save is all that stands between her and a grisly death by shooting. I would sequester her in the unit of Knights if I were you.

She get LoS from the Big Peg units, and they can also stop Cannonballs too. Shes also not that big so you hide her to a certain extent, and Life doesn't really need Line of Sight.

I've thought of doing this type of army before with my Bretts and I think it can work but it relies alot on the Characters having specific jobs (though to be fair I guess all Brett armies rely heavily on the characters...)

My Thoughts:

No Charmed Shield on anything? Really?

Heartwood Lance without the Tress? Rerolls to wound don't help much when you fluff your to hit rolls. I prefer to give him ASF sword and Great Helm (you don't need S6 when you're relying on that big 6). Give the BSB a Dawnstone and Enchanted/Charmed Shield.

Crown on the Proph is pointless, If shes in combat she's dead... give it to another hero for stubborn flank charges, to hold units in place, and be generally annoying (really funny with the Guantlets of the Duel ;))

I'd look to get another Hero or two on Pegs. Having a dude with Wyrmlance is amazing, as he can knock the Regen off units before the Pegs/KotR attacks. The shooting ability is just gravy...

I hate Peasants but you may beg to differ. I find they do nothing but die horribly... you can't combo charge with them because they just throw combar res to the opponent. Give me little Errant Diversion units any day of the week.

The Peg Knight units are too big imo. 6 are way to hard to land in the backfield, especially if their job is hunt warmachines. You'll feel a bit dumb when you suddenly realise you can't actually charge any warmachines because of the units standing in front of them... I'd drop two units down to 3-4 and just leave one big unit. Give them a Standard too and they will hit units hard if you get into the flank

Also only 1 Treb? I think you'll find you really need 2 to drop unit sizes enough to give you a chance of breaking them.

Just my 2p anyways. Good Luck with it!

Yah I'm going rework the list. Atfirst I thought characters could join the peg units, thus the stubborn crown. I think I am going to thin down the pegs to add in more flying heros. My only problem with Errants is their LD as Knights panic Knights and my general and BSB are just flapping around.
