Looking forward to playing Skyrim and was curious if anyone else played the elder scrolls games and is going to play Skyrim

Played Oblivion, I'll be looking at Skyrim but maybe in a year or so when it's not stupid-priced. Basically waiting for a Game of the year edition or something with expansions and all such stuff included. And I need to buy a new computer again if I want to play any of the new games anyway.

lol certainly the better option for me though as Warhammer over here (New Zealand) is rediculously expensive

A box of Bestigors = $81 New Zealand Dollars
In the UK its 25.50 pounds

and NZ no longer has access to Malestrom games etc.

So all in all Skyrim is a relativly cheap
:)

I would love to play Skyrim, but I haven't yet tired of playing Morrowind, and unfortunately I can't justify buying a new computer just to play Skyrim [and the latest Total War game].

When my computer does finally expire I expect I'll be right in there.

And if you add in the cost of hardware..?

It's a question of worth really. I mean who in their right mind pays 1700//$ or whatever it was for a copy Modern Warfare 3 a couple days before it's released. Stolen copies at that (someone stole a truck with the game in France). [Some facts may be at bit shaky, mainly the numbers]

It's a bit like saying FW is cheap in AUS & NZ because it costs the same as regular GW stuff. It really isn't, it just looks better in comparison.

Hopefully from early 2012 you can again buy from Wayland Games at a discount (though not as deep), and more importantly in pounds.

I still feel 60 for a new PC game is taking the P though. Especially with all the hassle they punish legal customers with. I should write my PhD about that instead!

I find that funny cause 3 days before COD MW3 was released some guy walked into my gaming club with half a dozen copies and flogged them off 10 bucks each. I think i remember the truck driving off with copies falling out the back.

Has anyone tried playing with a wood elf thief? I really want to try that, but I need to get a new computer first, and I would like someone to create even more hype for me :)

So I realize I'm a bit late for this discussion, but I got Skyrim for Christmas and have been hooked since.

I play a Nord warrior. Level 35 or 36 I think. Full Ebony Armour and weapons, with the Shield of Ysgramor.

I'm thinking of starting a new game to do a High Elf mage or a sneaky type Dark Elf.

Who else has been playing enjoying this game like crazy?

My girlfriend. She comes up for air from time to time, then she dives back in. :run:

No sex for you! ;)

I'm enjoying it but my Painting progress has taken a hit, so I'm trying to have a small break :P

got it for my birthday and it is amazing think my electric bill is going to go up  lol

ftr i play a dark elf warior (more like a jack of all trades). and glad i took him as dragons do like nothing to me thanks to starting with 50%fire resistance and some handy equipment.
